A recent dining experience at 2D1N Soju Bang, a Korean BBQ restaurant located off Tanjong Pagar Road, had me concluding with the fact that it is a good place to sweat it out after a long day of work/school.

The two level restaurant structure offers an ala carte menu on the first floor while a buffet one on the second. The ala carte menu price ranges from about $30 and above while the buffet menu is more affordable at $20++ per person. A step into the second level buffet restaurant gets the kpop fever rising in you, with the accompaniment of kpop music and music videos of Korean idols being shown on a LCD tv while you indulge in your BBQ; an avid kpop lover could only ask for more!

However, those who don't would find it pretty noisy and stuffy with the lack of fans in some corners. Food wise, it offers a good variety from chicken meat to pork belly, what's more, a free flow of plain water is apt to neutralize the high oil intake. But, a light eater would probably get bored after two rounds of meat and more meat. This is when Korea's own origination, kimchi, comes to save the day.

The service crew is also efficient and quick with their hands when changing the foil used for barbecuing when it is charred.
Overall, it was an eye-opener to be able to taste a tat of Korean cuisines in Singapore, but be sure to be decked in a comfortable outfit to make it a better dining experience!
