Kranji Reservoir Park
HotA panoramic view of Johor Straits awaits you at Kranji Reservoir Park. Trees with lush green canopies along the banks provide relief from the sun. With such sprawling greens complete with pavilions and benches and a scenic view, it is no wonder that Kranji Reservoir Park has caught the fancy of fishing enthusiasts and weekend picnickers. Opened for fishing in 1985, Kranji Reservoir Park has two fishing grounds, A and B, opened from 7am to 7pm daily. Ground A is a stretch of rocky banks with benches and man-made shelters; while ground B offers a much grassy bank. However, for one's safety, do take note to fish only in designated areas. Other than being a great fishing ground, Kranji Reservoir Park is also steeped in Singapore's history. A war memorial plaque commemorates the Battle of Kranji. It was during the second stage of the Japanese plan that the Kranji area of Singapore was invaded during the Second World War.
