It is one of the most veteran;longest standing gym in Singapore. Fitness First boasts a myriad supply of classes that includes zumba, spinning, yoga, body step, body attack, body pump and many more. Fitness First boasts an impressive amount of outlets that covers almost all the major spines in Singapore. AMK Hub, The Cathay, Fushionapolis,Paragon and even Tampines! There's even more. They also provide a 3-day free trial for those who would like to have a little kiss on the taste of the gym facilities or classes. It has recently been voted as 'Best Gym' and the 13th club outlet will open it's doors to public in April 2013.
It doesn’t matter if you’re at Tampines or Orchard Road, Malaysia or Australia, you’ll be able to find a Fitness First branch right around the corner. If you’re a member and travelling overseas, all that you have to do is request for a gym passport to have access to any of their international branches. This works out great if you are a frequent travel or even if you travel occasionally but go on extended trips.
Besides that, they provide mad variety when it comes to their gym facilities. You’ve got every type of machine to help tackle every muscle in your body, even the ones you never knew you had. If you don’t what you’re doing, then any one of the personal trainers on duty will be more than happy to help you out because at Fitness First, they, you know, put you and your fitness… first.
However, what totally disgusted me was their service. Before heading over to try out their trail, my phone was spammed by their calls to promote their road show which they were having than. While I was at the gym, asking for help seems useless for I felt ignored by their staff.
Overall, I felt that if you are looking into Fitness First for their fitness classes and facilities they provide, go ahead. However, if it’s service you are looking to pay for, scrap that name off your list.
Having lived in Melbourne, it was in this lovely city that i discovered Fitness First, a gym that has changed my life. I lost almost 19kg thanks to the gym though i have since put back some.
Fitness first membership allows you access to all their gyms worldwide and it is so convenient!
What is so attractive is that it is a no frills workout place with good amenities and good everything! There is also a good energy in the air for working out, something that you cannot really explain but need to experience when you are at a gym.
The Les Mills classes are also amazing and definitely the most fun and enjoyable way to lose weight.
With many outlets all around the island and 3 more additions in 2013, this is an amazing gym that is expanding and doing really well, no surprise why. Membership is around 150SGD/month depending on the deals you have with the club. This is definitely higher than a few not so good gyms like the orange coloured one and the yoga one with some money conning scandal in the past. It is however worth every cent if you can lose weight.
Think about it, parents are paying 900SGD/month for childcare or a good 200SGD for tuition fees for primary school kids, whats 150SGD a month for a sexy healthy body?
I should totally work in Fitness First man, they should hire me or sponsor my membership. I need to however work out more as i am growing a huge tummy.
The membership fee has also been quite standard so you would not great negotiation skills to ensure you have a fair deal. You are also entitled to bring a guest on weekends so I used to bring my hubby on weekend and this has helped me to save at least $140++ a month for my hubby is a weekend gym guy.
