Mambo Beach Club
Mambo is the perfect beachfront destination for friends and families looking for a relaxed upscale casual ocean front experience with a touch of sophistication and elegance. Drawing its inspiration from the classic 50’s beach bars in Miami, Cuba and the Caribbean, Mambo features delicious grilled/BBQ food, classic cocktails and a fun-loving atmosphere, providing a vacation-like getaway from the constant hustle and bustle of neighbouring Singapore.
The location is obviously very good, right on the edge of the beach, but the novelty wears off when to get to it there’s an obstacle course of pain and tools to get past first. Only way to get served drinks at all was to go to the small pool bar pretty much as far away as you could get from our tiny corner designated to us, and of course the drinks were also overpriced.
Although we ended up having a good day, we did end up spending most of it on the beach itself and not in the building site of death. From the lack of effort given you’d think that they didn’t even know that a large party would be attending that day and the birthday goer had paid a large amount of money. It’s probably in good shape now, however their lazy attitude and the fear of rogue nails still puts me off.
Being extremely particular about the spaciousness of this place, this place just fits my desciption of a holiday relaxation: it overlooks the beautiful siloso beach with an addition of the swimming pool and the classy wooden deck that allows me and my friends to chill with some drinks my the pool while enjoying the summer breeze and booze.
Definitely a place to come in the day time, where it is quite quiet. Can't say the same if there was an event held here though.
