Playnation is a place where one can choose to rent console games or board games for $10 ++ for 4 hours.More known for their console games, some would say that it's a waste of money. For those who already own your own Wii & Xbox, that statement would definitely apply to your thinking. For those who do not have access to such luxury, Playnation is definitely for you.
With varieties of games for you to choose from the main problem would be: Time just fly by

One of my favorite games to play with my friends would be the famous, Just Dance! However, I find the space were too small for that game. We often find ourselves hitting the wall or nearby objects when we stretch to do a move. On top of that, I wouldn't recommend for one to play this game if you get embarrass easily. Reason being, since the walls were made of glass, passerbys will see your ridiculous movements by just staring in.

Apart from that, I find their service quite satisfying for they do answer your questions politely and help you solve your technical troubles if you have any. Aside from that, I don't see any problems except that you'll have to ask for a refill every single time despite the drinks being free flow.

PLAYNATION is always one of the first ideas I think of whenever I'm with a bunch of friends deciding where to spend an entire afternoon. The rates are affordable, about $15 per person for 4 hours of play time. That gives you access to renting over 200 board games as well as 100 video-gaming titles.

That's an amazing range! Though of course if you choose to play console games, the rates would be slightly more expensive.

The variety of games suit people of all ages so it doesn't matter if you're there with your family or a bunch of crazy friends. They serve pretty good finger food for less than $10 so you can munch away whenever you're hungry too!

The fun place to be for both adults and children

No matter how old I get, games would have a place in my heart. The opening of PlayNation is ingenious as it provides one more viable option for gatherings and entertainment. It is also an ideal destination for those who do not own game consoles (Wii, Kinect etc) but who would like to try them out! The interactive nature of the games always leave people wanting for more, so for those who are looking for a bonding time with your friends or family, PlayNation is definitely the place to be at.

Do make early reservations as demand is always more than supply!

It is cheap and value for money for 4 hours! There are Free drinks too which taste pretty fine. VIP rooms for reservation are great (big and pretty). The rooms are very good for big groups with two game console sets faciliating big groups! service is fast and staff are approachable. I always approach them to ask for help w installing the band. There's a variety of games to choose from too.

I remember being dragged over by my friends the first time there, reluctant to go. I mean, seriously? You'd pay to rent and play video games? I was'nt a really big fan of video games then.

But then I soon realised that yes, I'd pay for this.

There's a wide selection of video games to choose from. There was a dancing game me and my friends initially picked, which we failed terribly at. We basically had no sense of co-ordination. We then decided on some competitive racing game so that the four of us could battle it out on screen. I never thought it'd be that fun!

One thing though, there was hardly any privacy unless you got a room, which was limited. Unless you have a huge group or there's no more stations available outside, it was unlikely you get a room. I was hence utterly embarrased during my attempt for the dancing game.

I had a blast, definitely. It was my first gaming experience, an experience I never thought I'd have. Before I knew it, the sky was dark, three hours was up and I had to stop before I burned a hole in my pocket.

I don't blame my friends as much for dragging me in as much afterwards..

After a meet-up with my old secondary school friends where we had a heavy dinner, it was suggested that we come here to chill away our dinner. It as my first time in such a gaming shop, and I was excited.

first up, I was surprised by their array of titles of various gaming platforms and even their board and card games. Booking ourselves into a private room, all hell broke loose when we discovered that none of us could get the dance steps right on the Kinect.

With a price of $8 for 4 hours, it's seriously worth it. Be careful, though, it's easy to get addicted to this place!

I came here with a group of my friends looking for something to do after a movie; it was too early for dinner, and we were stuck in that dreaded limbo period where there's absolutely nothing interesting going on.

After a recommendation from another good pal, we decided to adjourn to Play Nation for an hour or two. I have to say that my first impressions of the place were great. Despite having to attend to several other youths, the service crew was patient and willing to explain the concept of the place to us newbies.

We booked an X-box 360 room, and we spent two hours just having a great time. The package deals were a steal, and anyone looking to book the place should consider getting it, rather than wasting unnecessary cash going 'a la carte'.

Other than singing karaoke, watching movies, going for buffets, this is a great idea to hang out a fun group of friends! For the working adults, there are weekdays promotions after 6pm too.

I went with my group of girlfriends and we proceeded with the boardgaming package at $8 per pax for 4hours which was quite a good deal. Oh, the package includes free flow of drinks!
Variety of boardgames are rather limited as compared to other boardgaming places i've been to.

Service was bad, it's hard to get the servers attention as most of the time they are busy chatting among themselves. On weekdays it was really quiet, normally only 2 -3 tables occupied in the evenings.

With such low rates, i can see myself returning there soon.

I attended one of my friend's 21st birthday parties here. There were groups of people and the various groups could just mingle amongst themselves as there were many sets of consoles and tables. I personally find that it's a great place for parties because you do not have to entertain the guests - They can entertain themselves and then gather together for the main celebration at one of the rooms!

I have an xbox360 and wii set at home so Playnation was not so fascinating for me. However, it is also funny to see strangers dancing to kinnect and also a great place to poke fun at that friend who just can't seem to get the moves right!

Overall, a great place for parties and also bonding amongst friends. Tip: You will have to book one of the rooms for big groups in advance though!

video games are awesome!

Let’s face it. Who do not love games? And whether you like board games or video games, Playnation has both. They even cook for you! I mean, they have a food menu if you get hungry after dancing to Britney Spear’s Toxic on Kinect.

I always patronize Playnation at Scape because it is very near the Somerset MRT and the crowd is much younger there. I am young! Don’t judge me.

I use to patronize the outlet at Prinsep but the location is just way too far for my fat legs so I will always persuade my friends to go Scape’s outlet instead. What I love about Playnation are the packages they offer for gaming. It’s much more affordable and especially so when you are with a group. The food is good as well but don't expect anything fanciful.

What I do not like is the service there. The staffs are not really that attentive to customers gaming to actually realize that I’m looking around for someone to change my Wii remote controller’s batteries. I can’t blame them anyways. I would rather watch customers play Rock Band than attend to customers’ needs.
