I remember being dragged over by my friends the first time there, reluctant to go. I mean, seriously? You'd pay to rent and play video games? I was'nt a really big fan of video games then.

But then I soon realised that yes, I'd pay for this.

There's a wide selection of video games to choose from. There was a dancing game me and my friends initially picked, which we failed terribly at. We basically had no sense of co-ordination. We then decided on some competitive racing game so that the four of us could battle it out on screen. I never thought it'd be that fun!

One thing though, there was hardly any privacy unless you got a room, which was limited. Unless you have a huge group or there's no more stations available outside, it was unlikely you get a room. I was hence utterly embarrased during my attempt for the dancing game.

I had a blast, definitely. It was my first gaming experience, an experience I never thought I'd have. Before I knew it, the sky was dark, three hours was up and I had to stop before I burned a hole in my pocket.

I don't blame my friends as much for dragging me in as much afterwards..

After a meet-up with my old secondary school friends where we had a heavy dinner, it was suggested that we come here to chill away our dinner. It as my first time in such a gaming shop, and I was excited.

first up, I was surprised by their array of titles of various gaming platforms and even their board and card games. Booking ourselves into a private room, all hell broke loose when we discovered that none of us could get the dance steps right on the Kinect.

With a price of $8 for 4 hours, it's seriously worth it. Be careful, though, it's easy to get addicted to this place!

I came here with a group of my friends looking for something to do after a movie; it was too early for dinner, and we were stuck in that dreaded limbo period where there's absolutely nothing interesting going on.

After a recommendation from another good pal, we decided to adjourn to Play Nation for an hour or two. I have to say that my first impressions of the place were great. Despite having to attend to several other youths, the service crew was patient and willing to explain the concept of the place to us newbies.

We booked an X-box 360 room, and we spent two hours just having a great time. The package deals were a steal, and anyone looking to book the place should consider getting it, rather than wasting unnecessary cash going 'a la carte'.

Other than singing karaoke, watching movies, going for buffets, this is a great idea to hang out a fun group of friends! For the working adults, there are weekdays promotions after 6pm too.

I went with my group of girlfriends and we proceeded with the boardgaming package at $8 per pax for 4hours which was quite a good deal. Oh, the package includes free flow of drinks!
Variety of boardgames are rather limited as compared to other boardgaming places i've been to.

Service was bad, it's hard to get the servers attention as most of the time they are busy chatting among themselves. On weekdays it was really quiet, normally only 2 -3 tables occupied in the evenings.

With such low rates, i can see myself returning there soon.

I attended one of my friend's 21st birthday parties here. There were groups of people and the various groups could just mingle amongst themselves as there were many sets of consoles and tables. I personally find that it's a great place for parties because you do not have to entertain the guests - They can entertain themselves and then gather together for the main celebration at one of the rooms!

I have an xbox360 and wii set at home so Playnation was not so fascinating for me. However, it is also funny to see strangers dancing to kinnect and also a great place to poke fun at that friend who just can't seem to get the moves right!

Overall, a great place for parties and also bonding amongst friends. Tip: You will have to book one of the rooms for big groups in advance though!

It is a great place to chill, have fun or go crazy with your close friends as there are many types of games to keep you guys entertained. You can go for the rooms if you want privacy and if it is available. Playnation is more for groups of friends rather than couples(or duos) as most of the games are more enjoyable with multiplayers.

Go on weekdays or non peak hours to avoid the crowd. Or else you will have to be placed on the waiting list. The honey mango drink is really addictive and the best thing is - it is free flow off peak hours as a package.

If you cannot connect anything, just call for the friendly staff and they will get it done quicker. Don't waste precious minutes trying to figure the thing out! Try as many games as you can and have lots of fun!

video games are awesome!

Let’s face it. Who do not love games? And whether you like board games or video games, Playnation has both. They even cook for you! I mean, they have a food menu if you get hungry after dancing to Britney Spear’s Toxic on Kinect.

I always patronize Playnation at Scape because it is very near the Somerset MRT and the crowd is much younger there. I am young! Don’t judge me.

I use to patronize the outlet at Prinsep but the location is just way too far for my fat legs so I will always persuade my friends to go Scape’s outlet instead. What I love about Playnation are the packages they offer for gaming. It’s much more affordable and especially so when you are with a group. The food is good as well but don't expect anything fanciful.

What I do not like is the service there. The staffs are not really that attentive to customers gaming to actually realize that I’m looking around for someone to change my Wii remote controller’s batteries. I can’t blame them anyways. I would rather watch customers play Rock Band than attend to customers’ needs.

It's so easy to lose track of time here - seriously. My favorite outlet is the one at Prinsep Street, even though it isn't as easily accessible as the one at Scape (I got lost the first time trying to find it!), I find the whole ambience there more welcoming.

Anyway, you'll be spoiled for choice at their wide range of board games. But I'd like more console game titles though, I think I've tried most of them and they don't really bring in new ones.. for months. At least from what I observed.

The package deals are worth your money, what with free flow of drinks and popcorn thrown in. In which I must add: their drinks (especially the ice lemon tea and lemonade) are to die for. For a few more dollars, you can order a main course, and their food (in which I've tried a few) is actually really yummy.. which I wasn't expecting since Play Nation isn't a food outlet. So, very pleasant surprise.

The customer service is amazing. Friendly, and oh so very helpful. Every single time I go to Play Nation, either at Prinsep or Scape, the staff there are all happy smiles, definitely worth the 10% service charge.

The place really earn its name and rapport of Play Nation. The reason I say are simply the reasons which makes this place totally irresistible. I went to the Scape outlet firstly out of curiosity to check out exactly what board games they have. The glass stickers outside their store drew me to it firstly because I instantly recognized the character of UGLY UGLY, a card game where you match the same monsters together to score points. Upon further investigation I also realized that they also have consoles like XBox and Wii which you could play for a very reasonable price.

I went away firstly because it was late at night and the place was quite packed. I came back on my next available off day in the afternoon with company and dominated a good 4 hours of awesome gaming experience. There is even Kirby for the die-hard kid inside of you and even "tween" dancing games. I find that what they lack is exactly what I was looking for; inattentive staff. I do not like the idea of having staff standing around waiting on me hand and foot and this place certainly feels like home.

i visited this place on a friday night & was very pleased with this place!
being located at prinsep street, it is not as convenient as their other branch at *SCAPE. however, that also means that there is always lesser crowd at their prinsep branch.

lots of room for a group of 5 people to play and swing their arms. also, it is one place where you can make as much noise as you want and not get stares from stranger.

their gaming fees are quite resonable especially for someone like myself who does not play much of such games. for hardcore lovers, it is better to invest in your own game console unit at home to save money in the long run.

what i dont like about this place is that the staffs seldom walk around & are not very attentive. when we were met with some problems with the console, we had to walk and find their staffs for help instead of them standing-by somewhere.
