Back before their East Point Branch closes, I used to visit them whenever I need my movie fix. Admittedly, GV, Shaw, Cathay, the big names in cinemas today do provide better facilities and an overall better movie experience. But I'm not picky when it comes to such things. I came to watch a movie so as long as I get to watch it, I'm a happy man. Plus the fact that I'm more of an underdog supporter kinda guy, you know, rebel against the establishment, hold protest rallies, stand in front of a Chinese tank, that sort of thing.
Personally, I feel that the smiles of the elderly ushers are welcoming and sincere, marking a great start to any cinematic experience. I also don't think that Eng Wah is gonna die off anytime soon as long as they've still got their Suntec branch. I mean come on, it's Suntec City! Where's the nearest place to go for a movie to de-stress after fighting through the crowds of SITEX?
