Just last week, me and my friends went to Sentosa for the main purpose of playing the Luge. There was a 3 Luges + 3 Skyrides Combo going on that day, so we took that sweet deal! Being irrationally fearful of heights, I was a little worried on the way up the skyride, but the view from the peak of the ride really took my breath away. I was no longer afraid on the second time up the skyride and even looked forward to the third! The pictures we snapped on the skyride turned out to be really beautiful as well.

The luge ride is really simple and fun. It is really easy to maneuver, so I bet it's an awesome ride for both the young and the old! Sometimes it gets a little congested at the 'check points' where we are forced to slow down as it takes a least a few second for the luge to speed up again, but soon we learnt to pace our ride and did not have to stop at all for the whole ride down! There is a new trail added so I'd recommend people to play at least twice. As the motto goes, "once is never enough!" True that!

Everytime i vist Sentosa, i will never forget this particular attraction, The Luge!

I really had so much fun with my friends and enjoyed the unlimited rides i was given in the Sentosa Day Play Pass. There will be an open cable car that will bring you up to the hill. It will take approximately fifteen minutes to reach. During the fifteen minutes, you can enjoy a wide view of Sentosa and how it looks like above the height of the trees. If you are scared of heights, i would not suggest one to ride unless you are game for it, then go ahead! As soon as you reach on top of the hill, you will be given a helmet which is to be used while in your luge. There are two paths but one has more curves and a lot steeper than the other. I chose that as i really like challenges in an adventurous setting. Nevertheless, these two paths will be joined towards the end of the track. It is really fun to challenge a race with your friends! But of course, be careful when there are kids around as kids are slow drivers due to their lack of experience!

Every time my friends visit Singapore I take them to Sentosa and bring them on the Luge / Skylift and everyone loves it!!

Its appealing to all demographics. The skylift is really exciting you have your legs dangling in the air for about 10 mintues on the way up when you get a nice view of Sentosa and you come back down on the Luge which is fun and easy to ride.

Definetely my favourite attraction in Sentosa!

For those going to Sentosa, this must not be missed. A warning though, the skyride is not for those with a fear of heights as it may seem a little daunting going up so high. To avoid the skyride, simply proceed to the other entrace on the top of the hill. For those up for the skyride, good for you as it offers you a stunning view of the island (the beaches look gorgeous from up there).

Once you're on the top of the hill, grab a helmet and they'll take you through the controls of the kart. The kart is easy to manoeuvre and children will have no problem getting the hang of it. Once you've cleared the tutorial, off you go down a ride of fun and thrills.

There are 2 different paths to take- the dragon path and the jungle path. The dragon path has more twists and turns while the jungle path seems longer. I personally prefer the jungle path so as to prolong the fun. Do be careful while steering and try not to get overly enthusiastic and the danger of you falling of or the kart flipping the side is still there if you do sudden turns.

The ride is unfortunately not as cheap and does not last very long however, do give it a try and look out for various promotions for the ride passes they may have! The family package is quite a deal if you have children tagging along. This ride is truly one of my favourite in the main island of sentosa!

Skyline Luge Ride is absolutely rides not to be missed whenever you visit the sunny island, Sentosa. Basically, Luge ride is like a mini go cart where you would be able to race through different tracks of your choice. Both tracks would enable you to explore different sides of the jungle and if you wish, you could always slow down anytime. Unfortunately, the track is not long enough and you would complete the course in around 10 minutes. Upon reaching the finishing line, there will be a small traffic light indicating you to slow down.

Meanwhile, as for the Skyline ride, you could always take before or after the luge ride. The skyline ride would take you to the initial point where you rode your cart. The skyline ride is awesome with three seaters, where you would be able to enjoy the jungle view from above. It would last around 7-10 minutes. Meanwhile, don't forget to bring along your camera to capture those memorable moments.

So look out for promotions or student discounts for this ride. Usual price for the 2 rides is around $12. If you would like to opt only for the sky ride, you could purchase the unlimited ride at only $10. It is totally worth the price you are paying for.

Fun for both adults and kids!
Overall Experience

I honestly did not expect myself to enjoy this ride. I have a phobia of heights and the attraction always seem to have far too many kids for adults to join. Well, the luge far surpassed my expectations and I would urge anyone not to be intimidated by the queue and just go for it!

The sky lift was scary, because it is exactly like a ski lift, and it travels way above the tree canopy. With that being said, it does offer a bird's eye view of Sentosa Island. Also, if you lose a flipflop, the staff will kindly help you retrieve it.. Or so I heard from my friend. Better not to try your luck though.

Once at the top, you take a luge down! It is very easy to control, and there are two paths to choose from, and from then on it's endless fun! It can go pretty fast so even though it is relatively safe, basic precaution must still be taken.

The only bad point: The safety helmets stink!

Like the previous reviewer, I was also slightly apprehensive about taking this ride. I'm not too fond of overly thrilling activities nor do I like heights! But once I got over my worries, I was hooked on this ride.

I recommend that you take both the sky ride and the luge ride. The sky ride takes you on a tour in the sky and you can have a bird's eye view of Sentosa below your feet. Do take off slippers or shoes that are not tightly fit as they might fall off when you're suspended in the air. If you unfortunately drop something, there is a canopy below and your belongings can still be retrieved. It took a bit of getting used to when taking the sky ride. The sky rides do not stop and wait while passengers slowly get on. You've got to anticipate its arrival and hop on at the right time as it comes towards you. There are staff to help you with getting on.

Then comes then luge ride. It's something like go-karting and its easy to handle and operate. It's tons of fun if you go with your friends and everyone tries to outrun one another! You can also control the speed of the luge so you can slow down and speed up anytime you wish. My only gripe about the luge ride is that it doesn't last long enough!

Try these rides at least once! And if possible go on weekdays when the queue isn't insanely long!

I was lucky to have visited the Sentosa Luge when it wasn't so crowded. I had to wait for only a short while before I could start getting my helmets and getting on to the ski lift! The helmets are quite smelly to be honest and disgusting, so if you are a cleanliness freak, please do bring your own helmet.

The ski lift ride up was really really fun! It was cooling and it's a good view of Sentosa from up there. There are also cameras positioned along the way so do smile at them and you can purchase a copy from the main reception area later on after your luge ride. I bought one and it's currently pasted on my wardrobe. Good quality picture with a nice view in the background, quite worth it especially if you're with a bunch of good friends!

The luge ride is exhilarating. You get to control your own luge and steer it and go at whatever speed you want. Try to be a bit of a daredevil when it comes to the luge, because going slow won't be very much fun. Try to outrace your peers and be the first to get to the finish line :D There are straight stretches and good turns that allow for variety. Although it is good fun, I thought that it was too short a ride down and the route should have been slightly longer.

Overall, a worthwhile experience that I will return to again every once in a while.

I love to go Sentosa with my friends, enjoying a bright sunny day on the beach and playing volleyball with my friends. A great hangout place for sun lovers! The scenery and architectures are so beautiful, it will definitely leave many wonderful pictures inside your photo album.

On a random chance, my friends and I decided to try Luge as non of us has played before. With Sentosa Islander membership, I have enjoyed Skyline Luge at an discount of $2. We have to wear our helmetd and take skyline to the top. Be aware that you might lose a slipper if you are careless, so keep your legs within the seat and enjoy the great scenery. When we've arrived our destination, the instructor taught us how to control the luge and emphasize on safety rides. Once we are ready, it is time to set off! We had so much excitement while enjoying the speed of the ride. Kind of disappointed when we know it is end of the fun. Overall, it is a good experienced to enjoy with family and friends.

There is a recreation activity that I think should be tried whenever I go to Sentosa. It is called the luge and it is part go-cart, part toboggan kind of ride. It is really fun and suits people of all age. It is very safe as well, since we are able to control the speed really easily by just releasing or pulling the handle. The path is not steep at all so there are no danger at all.

There are 2 trails to choose from, the Jungle Trail and the Dragon Trail. The Dragon Trail is a longer path and I personally think it is more fun to ride.
