Established in year 2000, +Wondermilk café is an emporium of freshly baked cupcakes in a variety of flavors, scrumptious selection of light snacks, freshly brewed Italian coffee, and their speciality drinks - 'Wondermilk' which is flavored fresh milk with choices such as butterscotch, caramel, and vanilla to name a few.
I love Wondermilk for their pretty cupcakes. But honestly, they're just plain ordinary because I have tasted far more yummy cupcakes before. The cakes are a bit dry but some are quite nice like their rainbow cupcakes and peanut butter cupcakes. Nonetheless, their creativity and the cuteness of the cupcakes won hearts of many people, which I couldn't agree more.
Their outlets are the cutest too. With quirky, small decorations and mismatch furniture, this place is definitely a great place for friends too meet up and share their cupcakes. I definitely love the whole welcoming and warm atmosphere of this place. Some items on display usually reminds me of my childhood very much.
When I was there somewhere during 2009, I ordered a sloppy joe and just like the name, it is pretty sloppy. Not only that, they forgot to add soggy and tasteless to the name. The only thing I found interesting about the place is the decorations.
It had this distinctive style or decoration which is meant to be interpreted as classic, something like out of TV shows in the '80s but all I see is a theme that screams hipster all over.
The interior design of this café is really cosy and makes us feel like home, with some not-so-serious art works displayed on the wall. And they have a wide variety of colorful cupcakes in the display counter. However, each cupcake costs RM4.50 and I think it is a little bit overpriced.
Therefore, I only ordered a cup of hot butterscotch flavored Wondermilk for myself. There are many other flavors to choose from such as toffee, caramel, banana etc. and the staff recommended me this. The milk was good – smooth, aromatic with a fragrant aftertaste. I can’t say +Wondermilk is the best but there are not many shops serving milk-based specialty drinks out there.
