Latest figures from the National Population and Talent division have showed that the proportion of singles are rising across all age groups, between 2000 and 2011. It was found that more Singaporeans are marrying later, having babies when they are older and also producing fewer children. However, some argue this is a trend happening all over the world as well, as people nowadays are more educated and put off marriage and children till later in their life, after they have developed their careers.
