Dining at Nados is a nice experience everytime...perhaps it's the chicken with it's peri-peri sauce, great decor, layout, the way the food is served, etc. Certainly all this and the successful marketing creates an inviting aura and easy recognizable brand.
The chicken are always nicely done every time I dine at the eatery, be it in at the Malaysian or Singapore outlets. The service is prompt and brisk while there a "party mood" especially when dining in a group.
For those with small appetite, I recommend no more than a 1/4 chicken. For a group dining, the option gets more exciting as you order various combos and platters and share the food...and of course the free top-up drinks are a bonus . Yes, how much can you drink ? but then again...the spicy peri-peri sauce usually leads to more than 1 glass..Guess it's all accounted for in the menu costing already...
For a great time...step into Nandos...no regret .
Whenever I feel like having something healthy, I always head down to Nando's for their delicious and tasty chicken menu. They don't offer much variety on their meals but at least something should have caught your attention whenever you're dine in here.
I love the fact that their chicken comes in different choices of spiciness level. At my very first tries, I always chose mild but over the years, I think extra hot suited me well.
Whenever you're here, please choose bottomless drinks for free flow of carbonated drinks. After gulping down those extra hot chicken, you surely need a gallon of cold drinks to subside the spiciness.
My mom and I love Nando's. Our usual go-to-meal would be the 1/4 chicken with 2 side dishes. I always go with Mediterranean rice and coleslaw, as I believe in having some 'green' on my plate for a healthier diet (eating out is not healthy, I know). There's something about the smell of spice and butter mixed in the rice that just makes me crave for more.
Applying sauce on your chicken is optional. My mom loves the garlic sauce. It brings a unique, sour taste to your plate.
Some drinks are Bottomless, but there's a limit to how much Coke your body can take. From what I've heard from a friend, the soup is delicious as well; the price however, makes you think twice.
I loved the atmosphere here in this restaurant. It felt comfortable, and everytime I chat with my friends, we could just sit and talk for hours. It was relaxing. The beverages can be refilled for free, and since I generally talk non-stop with my friends, this is a real life saver! The service is good, as the waiters will refill our water without asking.
I have a little complaint with the pricing however. With only a quarter chicken with 2 side dishes, the price can be a little too high. The really spicy peri sauce makes up for it though. Overall, I had a great time there.
When it comes to thinking about what is the best place to have a delicious and juicy chicken meal, I would definitely go to Nando's!
Despite the pretty arrogant waitress who served us, the food there was definitely satisfying. Paying less than RM20 for quarter a chicken and two sidelines, why not! Plus, you get a bottomless drink too for only about RM7. Ranging from the non spicy Lemon and Herb flavour, to the extra hot Peri-Peri sauce. I usually go for the Mild Peri peri as it is already pretty spicy to me. And then I would add some Hot peri peri and garlic sauce later on.
I'd say this restaurant is per-peri awesome to me!
When it first opened in Malaysia, the chain of restaurants used to whip up extremely spicy peri peri sauce to go with their chicken. Now that it's become more commercialised, what with the sauce sold in supermarkets, the spice level has been somewhat watered down. Apparently, customers complained that it was too spicy. I feel that it's such a waste for many of the other Malaysians who can certainly tolerate spicy food.
Chicken is still tender as always. I also love their kebabs which come with salsa dressing for the salad. The salsa dressing is extremely refreshing with the diced tomatoes in it. Their set meals are also quite value for money if you have a few companions for your meal.
The specialty of Nando's is from the Peri Peri sauce which comes in varying degrees of spiciness. It is a special homebrew sauce which is sweet tasting but packs a real kick. I learnt my lesson when I soaked my entire chicken with the sauce and had to suffer a numb tongue.
Ultimately, for the price you are paying for, you could get a bigger meal with side dishes form outlets like Kenny Rogers. Nando's only comes with the chicken and a side of mashed potatoes. The price isn't cheap, at MYR 25 a plate and even though the portion of the chicken is bigger than average, it still feels lacking in terms of the variety of side dishes you can have in competing outlets.
Nando’s is definitely one of my favorite chicken joints besides Kenny Rogers.
Ever since the first bad experience I have had with their peri-peri sauce, I would normally order Lemon & Herb flavor as I was nearly killed by just the mild peri-peri flavor. But since they provide bottles of peri-peri sauce, I can train myself to eat spicy food by controlling the level of spiciness I want.
I have also tried their toasted pita before. It was good too, and I think it was more filling compared to just chicken. The side dishes I like most is their chips. Overall, good chicken, great sauces, and reasonable prices.
Nando's is one of my favourite restaurant, and it is famous on its grilled chicken. You can choose the spicy level of your grilled chicken, which is an advantage for chilli lovers! Besides that, it is healthier than KFC as it is less oil consumed. You can have it with 2 dishes of you choice. 1/4 of chicken and 2 dishes should be enough for an adult. It offer refillable drink for only RM6.90 too! The service are equally satisfactory in most of the branches. I always order for hot peri peri as I love to have spicy food. You should try it out!
Nando's is my favorite way to eat chicken, if we're comparing with KFC and Kenny Roger's, because the marinated and grilled chicken drumsticks are the juiciest and most tender. I always go for the 'Lemon & Herb' for a slightly tangy taste.
Their soup aren't as thick as I like, but it's decent, with a spicy taste to it. I haven't tried their sausages or peri wings because I'm always stuffing myself with their yummy chicken. Their special sauces are tasty too. There's not much hoo-haa about their drinks, and their services are typical of a retail restaurant.
