It is currently Penang's largest mall and is located in the Bayan Lepas area. It carries a range of clothing line outlets such as Forever 21,Opera,Vincci, etc. It also has many food outlets which whet shopper's appetites no matter what they may be in the mood to eat. They have places like Haagan Dazs, KFC, MCDonalds, Canton-I, and Kenny Rogers just to name a few.

I think Queensbay Mall should be renamed to Queensbay Megamall. It is super huge and trust me, you can spend your whole day in the shopping mall and not be bored. Even if you spend the whole day in the mall, you might not be able to cover the entire mall!
They have very popular fashion outlets like Forever 21 that will probably take an hour or so just to browse through an entire store. They also have many eateries that will leave you spoilt for choice - I recommend just going to the food court on the top level; instead of racking your brains to choose an eatery. It is air-conditioned, comfortable and has a reasonably wide variety of food for you to choose from. The food there is really delicious too! Of course, they have entertainment stores like a cinema that will probably already take up a few hours of your time.
I left Queensbay Mall feeling really satisfied and happy with my buys, but of course quite guilty about the humongous hole I left in my wallet. Understandably, this would be a haven for ladies but perhaps.... not so for men. You should probably head to the mall in the early afternoon during weekdays to avoid the crowd!
My favoured stop once I land in Penang island as it is quite near the Penang International Airport. I find the mall oddly shaped because it is too long and it can be quite tiring to walk from one end to the other. But thankfully, its existence brought some life to this part of the Penang island. Avid shoppers would have had to travel to town to go to Gurney Plaza in the past.
There is a wide selection of restaurants, electronics stores and not to forget clothing outlets. I particularly love Borders bookstore here as it houses a Starbucks. A perfect place for those who enjoy having a cup of coffee to go with a quiet reading session. There are also lots of other coffee joints to choose from such as Coffee Bean and Tea Leaves, Dome and Old Town.
I find that weekend shoppers have it really bad if they plan to go to this mall especially during lunch hours and the times leading up to dinner (4.30 pm on wards). There is a serious lack of parking space in the basement and lower ground parking lot. So shoppers are forced to either park under the sun in the open air car park or be subjected to many dizzying rounds up the spiral pathway leading to the upper floor carpark.
Once the car park dilemma is over however, shoppers can now be at ease and enjoy shopping at the many outlets the mall has to offer. There is a Golden Screen Cinemas theater to catch your favorite movie and the karaoke bar,"Neway" is just across the theater. Perfect for you to scream your accumulated frustration from the parking catastrophy.
