As I recall, this mall is still pretty new. And knowing a thing or two about new malls that are growing in the Klang Valley area, I wasn't too keen on the idea of going to this place. I was already a bit afraid a similar event like the air-conditioner falling down to the ground at Paradigm would happen. But after a friend told me how nice it was, I thought I might as well give it a try.
I would say that it's like mini-AEON mall as it already has big brand shops there like Padini and H&M. Coupled together with a bowling alley and a cinema, this mall was already showing great potential. With the added fact that the mall is usually not crowded, it's a perfect place to go if you're bored with Tropicana City Mall. Can't wait to see what happens to this place in the next few years.
My experience with Setia City Mall during their early days are wonderful. Even though traffic and parking are a headache, once inside I really had a great time. I was amazed at the brands of shops filling up their lots. Surely, this mall is much better compared to other neighborhood malls in KL city.
The mall is huge enough to cater residents from the nearing neighborhood. Being in the outskirt of the city center, I love how this place is always nice and not overly crowded. I feel at ease doing my shopping here.
This place is very kids friendly. Their baby room is clean and complete. The temperature is just right for babies and with huge, comfortable chairs for nursing mother, I can't complain much about this facility.
I now regard this mall as my favorite shopping mall for its great facilities and convenience.
There is a lot of selections—whether it's clothing, dining or entertainment. Large retail stores like Brands Outlet, Padini and H&M work well for people who don't have the time to browse through single shops.
I find the air-conditioning to be uneven. The top floor is kinda stuffy, while the bottom floors are cool. The toilets are really spacious and clean. I appreciate the colourful chairs prepared in the malls, very considerate towards children and the elderly.
There are people flying kites at the open field in the evening. The mall is convenient for the residents of Setia Alam, so expect a crowd on the weekends.
When I last went, the mall was only in the opening month. So not all the tenants have opened up their shops. However, I already feel that this mall is going to be a success with all the major tenants. One major attraction will be H&M. I was disappointed to learn that H&M was still under renovation when I was there.
It's quite a complete mall, with the bubble tea shops, cinema, Daiso, gym and lots of shops and restaurants. There's also Harvey Norman and Courts for those who wish to shop for electronic gadgets.
