There had been a period of time in my teenage life when I had actually eaten Mcdonald’s daily. Thankfully, my cravings have gotten less out of control through the years, but I do still want a McSpicy almost every week.
But am I really to blame for constantly missing the taste of their golden, crisp fries, and the sweet burn of the thick, oily, and spicy chicken patty? McDonald’s has a way of making you come back for more, though you know just how sinful it is to. It doesn’t help that they’ve even set up electronic kiosks in all their stores, and now accepts NETS. The length of the queue is now invisible and no longer a deterrent, as diners mill around the counter haphazardly awaiting their orders.
The Mcdonald’s in Singapore is probably one of the few franchises that receives widely positive reception for their custom menu items that cater to Singaporeans’ taste. Each year you’ll see people counting down the days until curly fries and samurai burgers are available again, or mourning the end of the seaweed shaker fries offer.
I am really not a fan of McDonald’s and I dread whenever I have to come here. To me, most of the beef-based burgers at McDonald’s taste alike that I always forget which one I ordered. The best burgers here are the Spicy Chicken McDeluxe and the occasional Prosperity Burger. The pies are good as well.
I think the set meals are too much for girls as none of my girl friends could finish them all especially the fries. The Wifi here is good so students always hang around here doing assignments.
The only McDonald branch opened in Labuan Airport in 2009. It runs around the clock. The food is great. A variety of burgers to choose from and the dessert counters that offers one of the best ice creams and sundaes out there.
My personal favourite is the Double Quarter Pounder meal set with the Oreo Mcflurry on the side. For those of you who would like to try something weird, try dipping the fries into the Mcflurry. It has a very different and unique salty and sweet, hot and cold taste. Just like the best of both worlds mixed together. But this would not be for everyone though. The staff work quite slowly at times. But since it might be near the end of their shift, this is totally acceptable for me,
The limited edition burgers such as the Samurai burger with sakura mcfizz and curly fries on the side is also worth a try when they are available. The burgers are not that cheap though. So, don't go eating them everyday.
Nowadays, you can find a McDonald's is almost every major part of Selangor like in 1 Utama or Sunway Pyramid. Not only that, most of the outlets are running 24 hours nowadays. It is the easiest place to grab a bite for practically reason like lunch, outing with friends, or even dinner with family.
My favourite would definite be the Spicy Chicken McDeluxe. It is bigger and tastier than KFC's Zinger. With a mere RM12, you can definitely satisfy your appetite and have a large variety of choices in set meals you can choose to cater to your taste-buds.
My only complaint? Is that the burgers are getting smaller every year. If you really wanna get your money's worth, only come here during the lunch period or dinner period at 12pm-3pm and 6pm-9pm respectively.
One thing I love love love about mcD is their promotional period, where they cut down the prices real low,its almost impossible to not think about grabbing something to eat there - downside: crowdy and lousy service.
My all time favorite would be the spicy fried chicken, its crispy and its spicy and its chicken. whats not to like?
But its pretty disappointing when sometimes they serve you with cold limp fries, and a messy-poop-like choco top ice-cream which looks nothing like in the picture. That makes me so sad. Oh well.
McDonald's is a great place for kids. Orders arrive quickly, though the food selection is not much. I frequented McD with my cousins when I was younger for the well-built playground. Not to mention the promise of ice-cream after meals is just too tempting to pass up.
Even now, I still go to McD for the occasional quick bite. The Lunch and Dinner McValue Meals makes it worth it. However, it gets extremely crowded during those time slots as people start to rush in. My advice is to get takeaways if you can.
Also the downsized McFlurry has truly saddened me. It used to be my favourite dessert.
McDonald's has been an all-time famous fast food chain, and it has been one of my favourite places to eat since I was a child, more than KFC. This is for several reasons. The ice-cream is good, and the McChicken burger is always good. Now, they have all sorts of new burgers, I could'nt even keep track of them. The spicy McChicken burger is my new favourite, and the curly fries are just so absolutely delicious.
There is a problem with their service however. Many times, when I wanted to order some ice-cream, they'll tell me its spoilt, and sometimes it goes on for weeks. Also, they can't handle too many people at once, resulting in a really long line. In the end however, it still remains to be a good place for some burgers and fries.
It's good to know that McDonald's Malaysia has offered an online ordering system so there's no more hassle to call them up for delivery.
With its variety of menu and value meals, this place is no doubt the most popular fast food chain especially for youngsters. It's also perfect for people to grab a quick bite anytime of the day, be it heavy or light, with its new introduction to McCafe and choices of breakfast. Most of the branches open 24 hours a day, another great bonus if you need to satisfy your cravings in the middle of the night.
However, with its blooming branches all over the place, I noticed that McDonald's have compromised on its food quality. The burgers are rather small and plain, without pickles or even onions. They are just basic. With a whooping price for a set of bland meal, I hope they can improvise their quality to the maximum.
Are you looking for a brand new taste in the average burger? Well, be prepared to get blown away. McDonald's burgers are some of the tastiest burgers around, from the delightful softness of their Mc ish burger, to the deliciousness of the McChicken burger, to the spiciness of the Spicy Chicken McDeluxe, you are are bound to find a burger that suits your tastes.
This writer normally enjoys having a hearty Spicy McChicken meal along with some fries and a drink. I would highly recommend you put a layer of their chili sauce into the burger for that added kick of flavor and spiciness. IF you are looking for a quick meal to fit into your busy schedule, then you cant do much better than McDonalds. Of course, I do not recommend you eat it every day to avoid serious health problems.
McDonalds is a usual place for gatherings and doing assignments. One of the main reasons is that most of their outlets open for 24 hours and they have free flow of drinks. So, whenever it's near to exam periods, you can see McD filled with customers, even at late night. Now that McCafe is introduced, I can imagine people 'camping' there for the whole day.
Another thing to McDonalds that I like is that they have this promotional period like McValue Lunch and McValue Dinner where the usual set meals are a lot cheaper but it is also during that time where McDonalds is most crowded. I like collecting some of the items from McDonalds, for example, the Olympic glasses. It's very satisfying to see the whole collection in front of you despite having needed to take the Olympic meals (which are large set meal). I also enjoy the McShaker fries, especially curry flavour. Sometimes, even my mum would nag me to bring her for the McBreakfast meals.
