Old Town White Coffee is the largest restaurant chain in Malaysia. The proprietary owner of the special signature of 3-in-1 white coffee blend, Old Town White Coffee has embedded itself into Malaysian households as well as the food service industry. Currently having expanded into opening café outlets based on the traditional Ipoh coffee shop setting and ambience, Old Town seems set to spread it's local flavour to the rest of the world soon.

Thumbs up for the coffee and breads, but the other food is not appealing to me unfortunately. I like most of the coffee here even though my friend said that the xi mut coffee smells like socks.
The breads are tasty too, my favourite being the classic toasted bread with butter and kaya. I wish their heavy meals such as rice and noodles taste better though, so that I can come here to eat when I feel really hungry. I like the ambience here, comfortable and cozy. It is a nice place to hang out for tea time or breakfast.
I am a person who likes to go to restaurants to relax rather than to indulge myself. Although the food is a bit pricey, the place has a feeling of ambience, in particular, the one in Kelana Mall. It is not a cramped up place like most starbucks outlets which makes for a good place for a little chit-chat. I myself go there to play monopoly with my friends.
If you are a person with a big appetite, I highly suggest finding another place as the portions of the food, and i mean all of the food, are small. However, it makes for a great place for light snacks and drinks. The Gula Melaka Cendol Soya Freezy is a delicious drink that everyone who is a fan of cendol should definitely try.
Being a fan of White Coffee, I find myself very interested to come to this restaurant. As I entered the restaurant, the design of the place fits the old kopitiam kind of design, giving a certain sense of nostalgia around the place, which I approve. There's also a pretty big variety of food that locals are familiar of, such as nasi lemak and wantan mee.
Although the food is priced a little high, it is worth it. The food is very well-made, and the service is also good, the waiters greeting you "Selamat Datang"(Welcome) when you come into the restaurant.
Oh, and the coffee? It is to die for.
In these recent years, Old Town White Coffee (OTWC) came out of nowhere to become one of the biggest local franchises in Malaysia. Well known of their white coffee and kaya butter toast, OTWC has turned into a place for people to hangout along with a cup of nice traditional white coffee.
For me I find their breakfast sets really well priced and worth it. With just less than RM6 you can have a really wonderful breakfast with drinks. As I’m not much a fan of coffee, my personal favourite is always hot chocolate and kaya butter toast, along with half boiled eggs. That’s what I call a perfect breakfast!
The only thing they need to work on is their WIFI connection as I always suffer the same issue in most of their outlets.
I'm a big fan of white coffee. To put it another way, I can't survive one day without at least a cup of white coffee. Having said that, I had high hopes when Old Town White Coffee first opened in my town a few years ago. However, when I tasted their coffee, I think it's not as good as I expected it to be.
I've continued to patronise it nevertheless, since it's a cheaper alternative to Starbucks. The food items are not bad tasting. But I believe I can get a much more fragant and original tasting nasi lemak at stalls elsewhere at only RM1.
I used to frequent this cafe every week after my grocery shopping for its quick grab a bite and go. And I still remember how good the food was back then.
My latest visit turned out bad. The meals were cold and the fried mee that I ordered tasted like it was fried with an instant paste. A total disappointment. The only thing that still meets my taste bud is the chicken chop. It's still tasted the same even though I noticed some massive oil stains from the fried chicken on the plate.
The garlic toast is great too I you need something light to munch on. I can never fault that.
The ambience and surrounding are the best. Very cosy and perfect for hang outs and have a cup of coffee together.
I am a big fan of Old Town's Hazlenut 3 in 1 coffee. The coffee itself has a most agreeable taste to my palate though I tend to add a little more water to make it less sweet.
I can't say the same about the coffee served in their cafe though. I was at their branch in Cineleisure Orchard. I had expected their coffee to be as good as I had imagined, but it was a disappointment. The coffee tasted sour and I was sure that it was an issue with the beans or poor brewing.
I am going to try their other outlets to see if it was an isolated incident or the norm. If it is, I'll stick to their 3 in 1's.
I was attracted to Old Town Cafe from the words "White Coffee" which is displayed in their official logo. I remember my taste buds going into overdrive as I tasted their signature beverage, the white coffee, during my first visit. The sweetness of the coffee was not overbearing and there is no bitterness like how you would find in a regular cup of Nescafe. The mouth watering fragrance made me want to gulp down as much as I can but wanting to savor every last drop.
I ended up drinking 4 cups at that time and I have been an Old Town White Coffee loyalist ever since.
Look, the very first time I enjoyed my first cup of white coffee introduced by Old Town, it really taste good. Especially the one located at Ipoh town. That's the very original white coffee with fantastic taste that I had ever had.
After back to KL, there are many outlets located at different cities, so, I will walk in and sit down to "sip" for a cup of white coffee. Somehow it makes me quite disappointed because the taste in other outlet taste differently. I wonder if Old Town had any Quality Control on all the outlets or not?
As a matter of fact, the white coffee taste good in some outlets, but i hope that it will not makes me feel disappointed whenever I walk in to other outlets anymore. As a consumer, we hope the quality of the foods and beverages will maintain all the time.
When they open a new branch in my hometown, I was among the firsts to try it. There are wide varieties of menu choices to choose and I was having a hard time to choose because they all look delicious and mouth watering! The meal preparation was quite fast and the taste really did not disappoint me. It was really satisfying and worth the money value. The chocolate ice blended is seriously addicting and I always stop by and try out other flavors. I really recommend the nasi lemak for breakfast or the toast bread. During hot days, just give out a try for their ice blended and you will find it worth it.
