Teacher helps foodpanda rider who hit his car
The recent floods that hit a number of states in Malaysia has impacted a lot of people. This has been extra hard on Malaysians with many already struggling to stay afloat financially due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Even in these trying times, we would always see Malaysians helping each other in various ways. This is what a teacher did when he got hit by a foodpanda rider and decided to drive him to the nearest hospital to be treated. Due to his good deed, a mechanic later offered to repair his vehicle for free.
Teacher drives injured foodpanda rider to Bentong Hospital
On 3rd January 2022, Cikgu Tan shared the story on Facebook and it has since gained more than 500 likes.
Based on the post, he was on his way to Bentong Municipal Council to settle some tax matters when a foodpanda rider hit his car from the back due to the rider’s faulty brakes.

This happened because the foodpanda’s only motorcycle, which he relied on to find sustenance, was submerged in the water due to a flood that hit his housing area about two weeks ago.
Unfortunately, the accident resulted in damage to both vehicles. The rider apologised profusely, as he couldn’t afford to pay for the repair costs.
As an act of goodwill, Cikgu Tan assured the rider that there was nothing to be worried about and even offered him a ride to Bentong Hospital to get treated for his injuries. The foodpanda rider, who wanted only to be known as “Ah Hao”, suffered wounds to his left knee that required stitches.

Two days after the incident, Cikgu Tan sent his car to an auto repair shop located in Glenmarie, Shah Alam, for repairs, expecting to spend a large sum of money.
To the teacher’s surprise, the mechanic decided to waive the cost after coming to know how he had helped the foodpanda rider.

The post made by Cikgu Tan managed to garner netizens’ attention. In the comment section, many praised the teacher for his good deed. Some netizens even expressed their sympathy towards the foodpanda rider.

It is really moving to see how enthusiastic Malaysians are in helping each other, particularly in these trying times.
