New sci-fi drama Sea of Silence

Back in April this year, Netflix announced that they’d be producing an 8-episode sci-fi series called Sea of Silence

Based on a short film of the same name, Sea of Silence is set in a dystopian future where the Earth is suffering from a lack of food and water. It follows a special task force as they attempt to recover peculiar samples from a deserted research lab on the moon.

This will be Bae’s second Netflix production after the widely acclaimed Kingdom. Known globally for her box office hits Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending, she’s more recently starred in Korean movies The Tunnel and The Drug King. She will be taking on the role of Dr. Song Ji-an, an astrobiologist who wants to reveal the secrets of the abandoned lab on the moon.
