Meanwhile, we learn from the character trailer, released on 16th April 2021, that Claire finds a drawing by a boy depicting the horrors of Raccoon City – the city where many of Resident Evil’s early games took place.

Stringing these events together, we can expect the unravelling of a bigger conspiracy to come.

Resident Evil is a survival horror game produced by Japanese video game developer Capcom. The franchise currently consists of 8 games, going from Resident Evil in 1996 to Resident Evil Village in 2021.

The earlier games take place in a fictional American city called “Raccoon City”, in which an organisation called “Umbrella Corporation” is developing bioweapons. Unfortunately, a dangerous “T-virus” leaks into the sewers and eventually mutates insects, animals, and human beings into aggressive creatures.

The later games follow the aftermath of the Raccoon City outbreak in other regions.

You get to play as various characters involved in the outbreaks. The gameplay mainly involves shooting mutated beings while progressing through the storyline.
