Godzilla has been popular worldwide since its appearance in the 1954 Gojira movie directed by Ishiro Honda. The Nijigen no Mori theme park will soon have an attraction dedicated to this kaiju (beast), named “Godzilla Interception Operation Awaji”.

Fans can expect to explore the insides of a 120m life-sized Godzilla when the attraction opens.

Due to COVID-19, the launch of the Godzilla Interception Operation Awaji attraction, originally set to open in Summer 2020, has been delayed.

However, within the Godzilla attraction, there is a Godzilla Museum where fans can look at figures of the monster and see how it has evolved from 1954 to now. To give fans a foretaste of what’s to come, Nijigen no Mori has decided to open the museum ahead of the actual attraction. From 8 August to 31 August 2020, visitors can check out what the museum has to offer.
