Opus Bay is launched in Batam

Batam in the Riau Islands has been one of Indonesia’s most hyped investment hubs for years, and the hype will likely continue with the development of the Opus Bay integrated township on the island.

The 125-hectare township, developed by Singapore-based conglomerate Tuan Sing Holdings, will feature luxurious properties, including resort-style villas and waterfront apartments, and a dedicated ferry terminal with a 40-minute direct connection to Singapore.

As part of the first phase of the development, Opus Bay has launched Cluny Villas, a gated community consisting of villas modeled after luxury resorts.

The villas are available in 3-to-6-bedroom options, with each having its own private pool.

It also includes a series of apartment buildings with seafront views, consisting of studios and 1-to-3-bedroom units – ideal for those who prefer high-rise living.

The first phase is expected to be completed in the next 3 to 5 years.

The township will also have hotels and a shopping gallery

Aside from property owners, Opus Bay also aims to attract tourists and visitors with its range of hotels and a Shopping Galleria, a retail street with various fashion and lifestyle brands and F&B retailers.

The developer is currently partnering with Mitra Adiperkasa, Indonesia’s largest lifestyle retailer with over 2,600 stores all over Indonesia, and plans to work with other retailers.

According to Tuan Sing Holdings CEO William Liem, Opus Bay will serve as a “home away from home” for Singapore residents to escape busy city life.

Batam is already a popular destination for Singaporeans looking to unwind from the hustle and bustle of their city-state, and its popularity will likely remain for years to come thanks to a number of new exciting developments on the island.

The integrated development marks Tuan Sing’s entry into Batam, and is expected to benefit investors due to the island’s status as an up-and-coming tourist destination.
