Ramadan meal and dessert promos for iftar
This year’s Ramadan has been extra challenging due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Muslims who are fasting aren’t able to break their fast with friends and family at their favorite restaurants, or bukber – buka bersama, meaning breaking fast together.
Despite the circumstances, it is still possible to enjoy wholesome desserts and meals for iftar by yourself, or with your family or roommates. We have compiled a list of 20 Ramadan meal and dessert promos that will hopefully cheer you up this fasting season.
1. Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart

Fans of creamy cheese tarts will be glad that Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart is offering its delicious treats in two boxes of 6 for just Rp. 150,000 (~USD10.05) until 15th May 2020. You can order this deal via WhatsApp and if you live within the Greater Jakarta area, you get free delivery.

2. Hong Tang

Whether you prefer cold or hot sweet treats for iftar, Hong Tang can and will literally deliver. Until 31st May 2020, Hong Tang’s Summarecon Serpong, Mall Taman Anggrek, and Margocity Mall outlets are offering three special Ramadan packets that each consist of three different bowls of desserts. Free delivery via GrabFood is available if you live no more than 5KM away from the three outlets.
The Ramadan Signature (Rp. 111,375, ~USD7.47) and Ramadan Favorite (Rp. 94,050, ~USD6.31) offer cold bowls of grass jelly, taro, and soy options, and the Ramadan Takjil (Rp. 81,675, ~USD5.48) package is for those who prefer warm desserts such as ginger soup, ketan hitam, and red bean soup.

If you can’t decide whether to get sweet or savory snacks for iftar, get the J.CO promo of half a dozen donuts and half dozen J.Clubs for just Rp. 104,000 (~USD6.98) until 31st May 2020.
Order through the website and check out the other promos on offer this Ramadan season. The promos are available at all outlets, and there’s a minimum delivery fee of Rp. 16,000 (~USD1.07). If you live further than 6KM from the closest outlet, you can still get delivery with an additional fee.
4. Krispy Kreme

Ideal for large families looking for iftar sweets, Krispy Kreme is currently offering a buy one, get one promo. Get a dozen assorted donuts for Rp. 108,000 (~USD7.23) and get a dozen of KK’s classic glazed donuts for free. The glazed donuts will be replaced with either the Cinnamon Sugar or Sugar Icing donuts if stock runs out.
This promo is on offer on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays via GoFood and GrabFood.
5. Tous Les Jours

Those who have a sweet tooth should definitely check out Tous Les Jours’s special Ramadan sweet cakes and pudding and enjoy up to 30% discounts on either GoFood or GrabFood.

Fasting means that you can’t get your favorite Starbucks drink early in the day, but the good news is that there are special iftar packages on offer until 31st May 2020. For only Rp. 50,000 (~USD3.36), you can enjoy one of three combos of 2 drinks.

It’s hard not to feel happy when eating ice cream, so it’s probably a good idea to get some from Baskin Robbins during this difficult Ramadan.

People usually go to Shirokuma to get Japanese-style dessert, but the restaurant also makes delicious and filling meals that they’ll bring to your home.
From 4PM to 6PM every day, you can order their Ramadan family packages. The Set for 2 (Rp. 86,000, ~USD5.77) consists of 2 main courses, 1 snack, and 2 drinks while the Set for 4 (Rp. 170,500, ~USD11.44) offers 4 main courses, 2 snacks and 4 drinks.
