If you’re stuck in Jakarta but wish you were having lunch on the sandy hidden beaches of Bali, Hey Beach Cafe offers a short respite from the bustling city with its coastal theme, complete with cabanas, picnic tables and sand right under your feet.

Located in Pluit Village, a 30-minute drive from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, the cafe is a short distance from several popular tourist destinations such as Waterbom Jakarta or Ancol Dreamland, and shopping complexes such as Emporium Pluit Mall.

Hey Beach Cafe mostly draws a student and young adult crowd, and it has been raved about on social media for its unique concept, with many cafe-goers likening their visits here to taking a short trip to the tropical island of Bali.

You’ll find many photogenic spots to brighten up your Instagram feed as the cafe’s interior and decorations are reminiscent of beach clubs in Bali. Every corner of the cafe is decked out in nature-inspired furniture, which makes for an interesting backdrop for your #OOTD shots.

The cafe offers an extensive western menu of BBQ pork ribs, roasted chicken, pastas, pizzas, and more. Prices range from Rp. 55,000 to Rp. 120,000 (~USD3.81 – USD8.31).

Desserts such as their Sunny Summer CoCo Ice Cream and Bikini Dragon Smoothie Bowl are quintessential refreshments if you’re at the beach and Hey Beach does not disappoint in their attempt to bring the best beach experience to Jakarta’s city dwellers.

Their vibrant, colorfully decorated desserts are served and presented in hollowed-out tropical fruits such as coconuts and pineapples. Prices for the desserts range from Rp.30,000-Rp.65,000 (~USD2.07 – USD4.49).
