A eatery deep inside of Mount Faber. To make eating a comforting affair, you can opt to chill out at the air-conditioned Dining Room or relax at the alfresco Garden.

Great View, Slow Service

The view from Spuds and Aprons is spectacular especially at dusk. If you're seated in the indoor dining room, you'll be able to see the beautiful view of the Habourfront area as well as see the cable cars pass by before you.

Unfortunately, the dining experience could barely match up with the view. Service that night was excruciatingly slow. It literally took at least 45 minutes for the food to arrive after our order was taken. On top of that, the food came at different timings. My pasta dish came the last, 10 to 15 minutes after the rest of the table's food has arrived.

The taste of the food ordered was acceptable. I felt that the Tobiko Crusted Cod Fillet was one of the better main dish among those we ordered. The sauce very flavorful and the cod itself was very tender and silky in texture. However, I felt that the rest of the dishes need much improvement. For example, The Garden Pasta I ordered was a little two dimensional.

On the other hand, if you like jackfruit, their Chempedak Bread and Butter Pudding is worth a try. No one would have thought the creaminess of the pudding and the flavour of the jackfruit would go so well together. The use of croissant gave the BB Pudding a cloud like fluffiness.

Perfect for Celebrations

Selected this restaurant to celebrate my anniversary. It's perfect if you want a refreshing view while dining. It offers a bird's eye view of Harbourfront and a glimpse of Sentosa. Be sure to have your own private vehicle as it is atop a hill. Valet parking is free with minimum spending of $30. Otherwise you can climb up via Marang Trail after you exit Harbourfront MRT.

Advance reservation is recommended if you want indoor dining. Alfresco dining works just as well, albeit a dimmer and cosier setting. We were lucky as we got to catch fireworks coming from Sentosa from our table!

We each ordered Barbecued Baby Back Ribs ($25) and Oven Roasted Marinated Chicken (($18). Topped it off with 1-for-1 (before 8pm) drinks and Wicked Fries and Gravy ($8).

Wicked Fries and Gravy: Never been a fan of fries. Their type of fries are chunky and thick, so if you're a potato-lover, you'll probably fancy it. After one too many fries with their signature thick cheese and gravy, we couldn't stomach any more of it.

Barbecued Baby Back Ribs: A generous amount of 6 ribs. Was deciding between their chef-recommended Crispy Pork Belly with 3 slices per serving and this, and was glad to have chosen this! Barbecue sauce was tantalising, to say the least!

Oven Roasted Marinated Chicken: Served a drumstick and breast meat per serving, which is also quite a portion. You'd enjoy it if you go for mild flavours as the sauce is separated from the chicken.

Service was excellent as they promptly cleared our plates and warmly asked for feedback for the food.
