Yummy western food!
I love coming to White Tangerine for any kind of meal, be it lunch, dinner or supper! I first heard of White Tangerine through a review website as I was hunting for restaurants and/or cafes that were near where I stayed that I've yet to discover, and White Tangerine definitely caught my attention based on what was served there.
Mainly specializing in western food, White Tangerine sells spaghetti, baked rice, and other western delicacies like grilled fish and crispy chicken. My personal favourite dish would be the White Tangerine Signature, which is basically spaghetti with their signature sauce, topped with ham, mushrooms, some herbs and a hint of spice, though it's not obvious at all in terms of taste, but can be seen. It's so yummy. The sauce goes so well with the spaghetti, and I've never tasted anything like this before, so I believe that this is the only place where I can get such a unique kind of spaghetti dish! For snacks, I love their chicky bites. It's fried chicken bites served in a basket. Rather generous in my opinion. The chicken is so crispy and succulent, I literally fall in love with every bite that I cannot resist eating more even if I am full...!
As for the drinks, my recommendations would be the Cho Cho Chocolate and Cookies & Cream freeze. Refreshing and chocolatey - really good stuff.
I highly recommend dining here at White Tangerine Cafe. The outlet I frequent at (Paya Lebar Kovan CC) is a little small, and when there are events and parties going on, there's no way I'll be able to get a seat. The service is awesome though. I like the waitress/owner (?) of the outlet. She's so kind, and it's such a pleasure to speak with her on occasions. There are a few other outlets as well. I remember seeing one at Pomo, and I heard that there's one at Bedok which includes a zi char menu, which in my opinion is very unique for a mainly western restaurant! Whether it's good or not though, you have to find out for yourself.
Oh, do take note that students and senior citizens can get set lunches, whereby for a single cost, you can take any main dish on the menu (unless stated), soup and a drink (selected ones only), so it's really worth it! For adults, I believe you can top up for your 'complete meal', and it doesn't cost much to top up, so I'd say go for it if your stomach allows for it, yeah!
