At NP, the food is simple and homely which features an all day menu from their Banana Nutella Panini ($5),  Savoury Scones (S$5) and a selection of Sandwiches (S$9) and a different menu during dinner time. This cafe has free Wi-fi and power plugs allowing people to do their work while sipping on their cuppa.

Quite the letdown

I suppose people usually come here for the coffee, because the food wasn't fantastic. The sandwich was mediocre, the only saving dish was the chips that came along with the sandwich. The bread was so hard and the meat was pretty much tasteless.

The place would also be hard to locate if you didn't have a car.

One good thing about the place is the atmosphere. It had a very chill vibe with dark lightings and nice interior design.

I wouldn't go again though :/

Interesting Coffee

Situated in a rather cosy corner, Necessary Provisions is quite out of the way for anyone without a car. A nice black shop greets you as you make your way towards the cafe. I had the opportunity to visit the place and was struck by how laid-back and relaxed the place was. It was nothing like Starbucks or Coffee Bean, just something more quiet and more serene which was quite a refreshing change.

I ordered their iced Espresso which I found to be the most interesting beverage that they had. The coffee comes in 2 small cubes which you have to wait for to melt. Milk for the coffee comes in an interestingly shaped jug that you can add to your drink. I thought this was a really interesting concept as you can tailor the strength of your coffee and the amount of milk you want to your specific taste and preference. If you ever need more milk, don't be afraid to ask the friendly staff for a refill of your jug.

It's a bit too dark to do paperwork or read, but the atmosphere is quite perfect for chit-chats or some laptop work. The big round table in the middle of the cafe is also stocked well with plenty of magazines for your reading pleasure. There's no rush to finish your food or drink and so it's perfectly all right to take your time and just relax in this cosy and pleasant little cafe.
