I came here on two occasions - once for the pasta and once for the grilled chicken. Both occasions I went with low expectations and came back with lower expectations.
I do not sleep well at night, so I find myself at places like this and it really is a wonder that this place charges cafe-prices for food that are mediocre.
The pasta I had was cream-based and it is a general fact that cream-based pasta are almost impossible to mess up - but they did it! Congratulations! It was just mushroom pasta by the way. Cream-base pasta and a couple of unhappy mushrooms and I would've been satisfied but no! They managed to make the pasta tasteless and the mushroom raw.
The grilled chicken I had was pretty okay, except that it was so light grilled it had no taste. All I had were ketchup and chili which didn't play well with grilled chicken, but there were no other herbs or spices to save my dish so it drowned in my complaints.
Probably not coming back.
I came here with my dad because it was a new restaurant near us, and we were keen in finding out what it has got to offer. Receiving a flyer of the menu beforehand, first impressions weren't too bad.
Upon stepping into the restaurant, the initial impression I had of it quickly changed. I thought it was a classier restaurant, but it looked rather casual, quite 'meh'. The food certainly did look yummy on the flyer, but it was a different story on the plate. The Butter-Herb grilled fish that I ordered was a really small serving, considering the price of it. However, I like how you can choose 2 sides to go with your main. I don't think some of the sides go with different mains, but all 3 are served on a single plate.
Also to note, the sauce that was for the fish came in a small plastic container, which I had to pour over the fish myself. It didn't taste very good, and the sauce was too little. My dad's teriyaki chicken also had the teriyaki sauce separately and wasn't enough. By having the sauce separately, the flavours were not able to be infused into the meat, and made the fish rather tasteless.
I don't think I'll go back to this restaurant.
