A house. It is two-storied, standing behind a small courtyard, trimmed with dancing lights emitting from the windows. You hear some soft laughter rising above some indistinct clinking. But one thing: the unmistakable smell of food. Suddenly, the air smell fresh as apples and aromatic as herbs, which are both strangely familiar and comforting. As you step into ARDENT'S, you know this is the place that would suit you very well.

yum yum in my tum.
I was introduced to this cafe bar hidden in a small corner of Neil Road due to a coupon i got online. I was firstly attracted to this place because of its lovely ambience which it touted to have and a wonderful menu of all day breakfast items.
We ordered their big breakfast which indeed came HUGE. I was attracted to their snail sausage and badly wanted it but alas, they ran out of it, i was very disappointed. What shocked me was that their shop was located in a place which looked like a double storey terrace house, and the yard had more tables and decorated with white tables and chairs with sun umbrellas. It immediately transported me to another country.
We also ordered their mascarpone nutella pancakes. Just the name itself is enough to induce drool. The nutella used was not cloying at all and went really well with the creamy mascarpone and the fluffy pancakes.
Reminds me, i HAVE to get back there pronto!
