I used to go to MPM when I was in lower primary for my math tuition. I've always been weak at mathematics and my parents decided to let my sister and I try out at MPM, with hopes that our grades would improve.
I remember the first time I went, I had to do a test to gage my level of knowledge, I think. The test was not like an exam paper, and not entirely math questions. It also tested common sense, I guess. I don't know how I fared for the test but tuition lessons commenced soon after that.
We were given this box full of interesting instruments to help us do math, like block cubes that look a little like lego. Every chapter, we got new intruments. I used to enjoy collecting all these "toys" in my little box, and I still have the box till this day! I don't remember what happened to the cubes but I think we had to return it to them. I don't know if it helped my grades then, because seriously, it didn't matter to me then! I was a child! What I know is that I had fun, and math tuition was never that fun ever again. Haha, not a fan of math.
