A brand new production by the people behind "The Noose", this production is a parody of Singaporean stereotypes which poke fun at the habits and character of us Singaporeans.

Random Island tries to produce intelligent parody spoofs of local culture, but it is a completely futile attempt, and the show turns out stuffy, incomprehensible and unfunny.
Random Island features snippets of short scenes that are completely unrelated to each other. Perhaps this holds true to the show title, because the show is indeed pretty random, but it is as random as it is exasperating. By featuring scenes that have little or no relation to each other, what Random Island merely achieves is to confuse the audience.
I believe that Random Island is trying to achieve the same standard of success as The Noose, but the jokes at The Noose were significantly funnier, and the parodies within The Noose were actually intelligent satire of local culture, much unlike Random Island which absolutely made no sense.
A poorly produced show that was a complete waste of my time.
I had really high expectations of this show. They billed it as a comedy which we could expect to be as funny as The Noose but seriously? I could not even sit through 10 minutes of the first episode. It is completely unfunny!
One evening, I decided to give it another try. I think each minute I sat through it was just an attempt to force myself to press on to find out what exactly is so funny about it. The Noose successfully satirised current issues in Singapore and parodied the varied characters that make up our populace but I honestly don't see the point in this show.
Please take it off air as soon as possible.
As seen from the title, this show shows us the most random scenes ever. Im not sure if its just me, but i cant seem to get some of the parodies presented, time to brush up on my knowledge of Singapore.
It would have helped a lot of subtitles were provided, because sometimes i find it difficult to understand some of the accents the actors are saying, and sometimes their speeches are too fast for me to comprehend.
Although this show is a great idea by the team behind The Noose, i still prefer The Noose. Random Island is sometimes just too random for me.
Our favorite channel 5 comedic actors are back on air with their parody of singapore! Things can't get any better with the hilarious performance they are putting, you must be laughing your butt off.
Featuring random acts of parody, they poke fun of Singaporean's typical habits and character, which essentially, we are laughing at ourselves. i remember episode 6 of random island where they were talking about Brazilian waxing, that got me laughing like a goon in the wee hours of the morning. A pity that the series is only a short one, with about 20 minutes of air time per week.
A great way to destress so why not?
