Quick and sanitary
When I made the decision to get ear piercings, I had no idea where to go. I wanted somewhere that is not too high-end, but still sanitised and hygienic. The staff at the information counter recommended Metallurgy, and it was perfect. The outlet located at JEM is just a little kiosk (don't make the same mistake as me walking one whole round looking for a store), but they were fully-equipped.
The price was $10 for the standard earlobe piercings, including the pair of ear studs which you can pick out from their selection. Although it is not a dazzling selection, there is still a variety of shape, size and colour which will suffice if you are not too picky. The tricky part is making sure the staff marks your earlobes at the exact position you want them to be pierced (lopsided piercings are not pretty). After that, it will just be a quick process of cleaning your earlobes, sanitising the equipment, punching holes through your earlobes., and you are done! They send you off with a bottle of solution to clean your piercings twice a day, and a warning not to remove your ear studs for at least a month as piercings take time to heal.
I know pain is a huge concern with many people when it comes to piercings, but it is really not that bad. There is a sharp pain during the piercing process, followed by a few hours of numbing pain in the earlobes, nothing unbearable. Just a quick tip, try to sleep on your back for the first night and not place pressure on the piercings.
