With a slogan saying The Expect Chocolatier, you would expect substance of excellence. Which is not necessarily what you'll find. A friend of mine once bought me some chocolates ( at a very 'nice' price I'm sure) from the Chocolat Factory and it came in a paper bag that said something along the lines of "Paradise Exists. I'm holding it in my hands." Wow. Too heavy a promise I think.
The chocolate was not even above-average. It tasted just like any other chocolate. Hmmm maybe you have to be a true chocolate-lover or connoisseur to know the difference. The designs were nice and pretty, have to give them the credit for that. And the chocolates were bite-size so thumbs up for that. I would choose Godiva any day.
Divine but expensive
No one can resist a scrumptious looking chocolate every now and then. For Chocolat Factory, the first thing that comes to mind is the price-yikes! Price aside, the designs of the chocolates are marvelous. There are several chocolates that stands out.
If you're a fan of mummies and Egypt, you might want to take a look at Sphinx. It has a black chocolate coating. It's covered with milk chocolate with an orange egg yolk. It has a right balance in sweetness, so it's actually pretty tasty. The chocolate is so beautifully done to the extent that I can't even bear to eat them. The very realistic-looking Golf Ball is a white chocolate. My personal favorite, the hazelnut truffle combined two of my favorite things. With a black chocolate coating, Piedmont hazelnut pieces and icing sugar, a chocolate has never tasted so fine before,
The presentation was done beautifully. This will be a perfect gift for special occasions like Valentine's Day. If you don't mind spending extra cash, this might be the place for you to get a gift for your loved ones.
Even the shopping bags are of great quality.
