I love their goreng pisang and cempedak
This rather nondescript stall sells some really delicious goreng pisang and cempedak anywhere. I stumbled upon this stall almost by accident. I was having a craving for goreng pisang and being in Changi Village, I knew that I had a few choices.
There were stalls at Sarah Rose, the Mr Teh Tarik Coffee Shop, and the food centre itself but the nagging question was "Which?". For me I like my goreng pisang to be fried in a light, crispy batter so after looking at the other choices that I had, I was close to giving up until I came across Million Star.
I got everything that I was looking for here. For the goreng pisang, they use pisang raja which means that it is big and sweet, especially when they let it become slightly over-ripe. The cempedak too...you can smell it from around the corner. They are that ripe.
The only caveat is that their prices are slightly more expensive. $1 per goreng pisang vs $0.80 for the neighbouring stall, 2 stalls away but you get what you paid for. Really great goreng pisang!
