Huggs and Kisses
Huggs is a godsend. You will be surprised at how difficult it is to find a decent cup of coffee at Ngee Ann City. I am allergic to over-priced bad brews (ahem, Paul), so imagine my relief at discovering that the java at Huggs is drinkable at the measly price of S$3.50!
The baristas clearly know their way around a coffee machine. Even though the coffee is served up in a paper cup with lid, they take pride in their work by never neglecting to make the swirly artwork on the coffee foam. I tell you, barista-ing is a very under-rated art form. For some reason, Huggs only stations young, cute and affable boy-boys and girl-girls at their Taka basement counter - so that's eye candy sorted while you wait for your caffeine fix!
I don't know about the pies, but the coffee sure is good!
