Lot One Shoppers' Mall (Lot One) is situated in the heart of the Choa Chu Kang housing estate, in the north- western region of Singapore. The mall is well connected by major arterial roads and is next to the Choa Chu Kang MRT/LRT stations and bus interchange. The six-storey retail mall enjoys a large shopper catchment, comprising residents in the Choa Chu Kang, Bukit Panjang, Bukit Batok and Upper Bukit Timah precincts, uniformed personnel from military camps in the vicinity, as well as students from nearby schools.

Just Another Suburban Mall

I came to know her quite some time back already. Like the average jane-next-door, she is just a little interesting and rather quiet at times too. With no exceptional beauty or showy accessories, she doesn't draw unwanted attention or popularity. She's Lot One.

I like the cinema by Shaw Lot One has to offer. And probably it's the only reason why I would even consider going there, other than being just minutes away from my Bukit Panjang home. Memories of doing Project Work with my project mates at the open garden at its top level is likely to be the best and only vivid memory I have of her.

Despite her lack of substance in the choices of stores and the intense competition from nearby Jem and Bukit Panjang Plaza, I am surprised there still some traffic even on weekdays afternoons. Like I said, it's in all likelihood to be the existence of the cinema, its saving grace.

All-in-One.

I've been patronising Lot1 for probably more than 10 years already. It's always been a short bus trip away.

It is a busy, bustling shopping mall, despite its relatively small size. Even so, it offers everything that you could possibly want or need.

Let me take the viewpoint of a teenager, for example. It seems to provide all the right goods and services. Need entertainment? There’s the cinema, arcade & rooftop garden on the top levels. Need a study place? There’s the public library. And in case you run out of stationery or need a guide book, there’s Popular.

There's also tons of good word on the excellent food that's available there.

Of course, that’s not all. It seems like there’s always more. It's great for everyone, and is wonderful for family outings too.

Great Heartland Mall

I remember seeing Lot One being under construction when I moved to Choa Chu Kang 14 years ago. 14 years later, it is still going strong.

Having undergone many forms of renovation, the most recent being the rooftop garden as well as a new section, Lot One is primarily a heartland mall, with many eateries and local fashion shops, the most recent eatery being Paradise Dynasty.

My house is near Lot One, so my family visits it whenever we just want to eat near home. The NTUC in the basement is also very convenient, and there are a lot of eateries in the basement, almost like a food hall.

Do anything, see anything.

I used to live in CCK and the proximity of this great mall has been invaluable in my weekly and almost daily trips down there.

Before the renovation, Lot One used to be a rather small and 'ulu' (remote) location, and barely any people could be seen there. Now there's a Food Basement, a mini Sky Garden and a whole new wing of shops and outlets.

With a wide array of available retail from a whole basement of food & eateries to an occasional bazaar on the ground floor. A big TV screen will keep you occupied as you take the escalator :D

Bring your family there to enjoy the Food Junction's variety, Ajisen's flavour and the all new Paradise Dynasty 2 and their authentic 小龙包!Food aside, it's a great place for window shoppers - several sports-wear shops such as World of Sports, clothing and shoes like Bata, Giordano and BHG are all available for the picking.

One of my favourite 'getaways'!

Family friendly

Like all heartland malls, Lot One offers everything but branded clothing apparels that people have to trudge to Orchard for. There is great food, a well-stocked supermarket, bookstores, sports shops, even a National Library situated in the building.

The basement offers all sorts of tantalizing snacks that's probably the reason behind your father's expanding waistline. I usually visit Lot One to have a cup of kopi and toast at Ya Kun, while my parents love the bak chor mee at the opposite stall.

It's a great place for families to have dinner and catch up on some grocery shopping, but that's about it.

Heartland mall

Lot one is a mall that sells and provides almost everything one would need, from food to clothes to entertainments. Lot one is renovated and further expanded few years back, thus the building is still considerably new and up-to-date.

I am shocked by the numerous eatery shops that Lot one has. There are many restaurants and cafe in Lot one. Although there is plentiful eatery shops, but those are commonly found in many other shopping malls.

The only retail shop that I visit for clothing would be Cotton On. Like I've mentioned earlier on, Cotton On is also found almost in all shopping malls. Thus, there's actually nothing really special and unique about Lot one.

Overall, I would say that it is a mall that one should only visit if you're staying in the neighbourhood to get essential items such as groceries or for daily needs. Other than that, there's no much reason why someone living in the east should travel all the way to visit Lot one.

Cool place with loadsa varieties.

I seldom visit Lot One, mainly because I rarely head to Choa Chu Kang, but I like visiting Bakery Cuisine whenever I'm there. They have a wide selection of cakes and pastries, and I find that they are always fresh and the cakes are one of the softest I've tasted.

I've dropped by the BHG department store a few times, but I find that I can find better quality items and better discounts at Isetan or Tangs. Besides, it's always a bit too crowded for me.

I find that this is more like an all-in-one mall with so many shops under one roof, it's just a minor shame that I live so far away from it.

Everything you need under one roof

I actually find this mall a very complete mall because it has almost everything. A good variety of restaurants, snack stalls and bakeries, with a good selection of clothing shops, cinema, bookstore, a library and even a garden upstairs. It's literally everything under one roof. However, it can get very crowded even on weekdays.

I think people actually hang out here during the weekends or on weekdays after school since there's so many things to do here. They also almost always have sales at the first level of the mall.

Always something to do and see

Lot 1 is very happening for a heartland mall.

The crowd is never ending at any point of the day. Her popularity has doubled since the unfolding of Lot 2. The shops here are constantly changing so this place never stays still. Expect to have such a wide selection of food to choose from that you end up burning your wallet for it.

I love shopping at Lot1 because of Cotton On and this small shop at level 2. The clothes here are constantly updated so it also means my wallet is constantly open. It's bad for the money but spending is happiness.

A great place to come to if you're dropping by the west.
