The vicinity of Braddell covers a small land area - it is so close to Toa Payoh that it is practically walking distance from the Braddell MRT to Toa Payoh Lorong 1. In the vicinity of Braddell however, there are small convenience shops that cater to the people who are living in the area. There is also a Macdonald's near the Braddell MRT together with a Redman Baking essentials stall.
Near the Braddell MRT, the Yellow Pages building is also situated.

A Typical Singapore Neighbourhood
A small neighbourhood that straddles the border between Toa Payoh, Thomson and Bishan, Braddell is your typical heartland with nothing particularly exciting for tourists.
However, if you’re looking for delicious Cantonese-style congee, Braddell is home to 88 Congee at Blk 127 Toa Payoh Lorong 1. Cooking up delicious pork porridge, among others, this is my favourite porridge stall in the world. With flavourful porridge that doesn’t taste like water, and generous slices of pork and liver, this is one place to go if you’ve got a porridge craving.
The same market is also home to scrumptious hokkien mee and tiny char siew baos that you can bring to any potluck, so it’s definitely a place to go to if you want an authentic local hawker centre experience.
