Sin-fu-lee good aburi broccoli.
Hearing from a friend that Sin Lee Foods is helmed by chefs trained in New York and France, I held high hopes for it and decided to drop by. Locating Sin Lee was a pain in the butt, but thankfully the food did not disappoint!
For those that do not like vegetables, their Aburi Broccoli Salad ($12) is going to change your mind. Lightly torched so that the tops were crunchy, the vegetable florets were strangely addictive. Paired with a slightly tangy sauce, this dish was mindblowingly good.
Another dish worth trying were their Salted Egg Sweet Potato Fries ($12). It was crisped just the right amount and slathered in duck egg sauce. What sets the dish apart is the use of sweet potatoes that create a wonderful contrast to the savoury sauce.
If you feel like splurging and giving yourself a well-deserved treat, Sin Lee Foods is a hidden gem!
