Interesting tarts perfect for tart lovers! Their appealing tarts can be seen through the glass counters and I often stand in front of it for minutes, having a hard time choosing the tart of my choice. To be honest, every single one of them looks super delicious and the tart descriptions make decisions even harder to make.
After a long time and some recommendation from their helpful staff, I settled with Blood Orange Matcha tart, a Pistachio Chocolate tart and their best-seller, the Banana Chocolate silk tart. The blood orange matcha tart left a pleasantly refreshing after taste as the fruity citrus taste from the orange complemented the bitter sweet matcha very well. The pistachio chocolate tart was not bad too, though I thought the pistachio taste could be stronger and I would have preferred if they used hazelnut chocolate instead as it would be less sweet. My favourite has to be the banana chocolate silk tart. I heard from the staff that this tart gets sold out pretty fast. And I can fully understand why. The banana was nicely mashed but still tasted very distinct and the pairing with chocolate, banana cream and caramel sauce was just superb!
Tart Blanc also serves sandwiches and salads too but their main selling point definitely has to be their tarts. They are slightly pricey, about $7 - 8 per tart but totally worth the price and calories, once in a while that is.
Cosy & Sweet
Tart Blanc is a sweet little cafe located at near the entrance of Millenia Walk. Like their name suggests, they specialise in pretty and delicious tarts. The place is mostly white and looks very pure and pristine.
The shop is rather small and can seat only about 10 people. Nevertheless, it is quite cosy. The background music usually consists of light and mellow acoustic covers of popular songs. The staff are also friendly and patient, never without a smile.
As for the food, I was not expecting much. However, I was very pleasantly surprised by the Tandoori Chicken Pita I customised. The chicken was tender and cooked just right. One of the best wraps I’ve had in a long time. Be sure to also try their warm soups. I had the wild mushroom one (sooo goood).
And of course, after your meal, you just have to try their awesome tarts! I tried the Lime Passionfruit Tart and was pleasantly surprised by its interesting flavour. Not only did it look good, it also tasted good. This is something that doesn’t happen too often, in my opinion, so do head on down and try it for yourself!
