It used to be one of the three blogshops I would only ever purchase from. However, since the arrival of the floral trumpet skirt and a denim skirt that I bought over from a seller on carousell, I decided to completely stop purchasing from RWB.
Quality of the floral trumpet skirt was so bad - my mom usually hand washes the clothes - and the colour ran. All the petals of the flowers on the skirt turned blue. The skirt also did not look like what the model was wearing, due to the lighting I guess, so when it arrived I had to revisit the website to check the item again. The denim skirt was also made of sub par material.
The only good thing is that I have always gotten my purchases on time and that unlike HVV, their packaging is way better, but 2 bad quality purchases means I will never want to order from them again, just like all the other blogshops that failed me.
Runway Bandits tends to run on the pricier side of online shopping. However, they win customers over with their unconventional outfits. If you're not the average girl next door and are looking for a balance of edge and class, RWB would suit your palette. RWB's uniqueness is probably due to their large international outreach, working often with famous YouTube fashion guru Jenn Im of Clothesencounters.
They have clothes that suit working adults, perhaps that run a little more casual than the normal office attire, but the styles definitely add a distinct touch of character to your outfit and will help set you apart from others easily! Their model's relatively tall, so when purchasing products, especially for my shorty counterparts, it does require an extra effort to gauge the fit on yourself. :)
I personally enjoy the perks of being a Bandita (RWB's membership system), receiving 5% off at all times, and being able to collect points to off-set my next purchase. It definitely is an effective marketing strategy that keeps me coming back.
I love Runway Bandits. I really do. I love their clothes, I love their style, and I especially love how frequently they update their webstore.
But I do not love their prices.
Don't get me wrong. Runway Bandits is definitely one of the better webstores in Singapore, what with their distinctive edgy pieces. In fact, I think that they are actually one of the few stores that stay true to their original concept even through years of seasonal changing trends. I've liked their Facebook page ever since forever, and I can say with utmost confidence that they tempt me each time they upload one of their preview albums. Then I take the leap to enter their webstore, and the prices just blow me away - and I don't mean in a very good way.
Tops easily cost a little over $26, and dresses are about $28 or $29, occasionally venturing into the dreary land of the $30+. Maybe it's the broke student in me speaking out, but such prices are definitely a little steep, because if you wait long enough, you can actually find the exact same piece selling in other webstores for much cheaper and affordable prices. That said, do wait for their sales - clothes can cost as low as only $10, which is definitely a huge steal if you ask me personally.
Qualitywise, the clothes are excellent. While there might be the occasional loose threads, their material is usually thick enough and comfortable when worn upon skin.
Overall, my experience with Runway Bandits has been rather pleasant so far though their prices continue to tug at my heartstrings (and at my wallet). But given the better-than-average quality of their clothes and their frequent sales, I would still say, it's worth the buy!
The clothes sold at Runway Bandits channel a very "mod" vibe. Think printed shift dresses, psychedelic prints and so on. They sell pieces that are dressy but also pieces that you can don on when you feel lazy but don't want to compromise on your dressing. Website is easy to navigate and the model carries the clothes off really well! Prices which are in the 20s range are competitive. Although some designs can be found in other blogshops, they also have unique pieces.
I have purchased from them twice and I am very satisfied with the dresses that I got on both occasions. The colors on the dress were very true to the picture. The material was of good quality and the cutting was flattering. The only drawback is that one of the dress was too big for me so I just passed it on to my sister. Lots of clothes sold at RB are free size which only fits UK6-8. I would suggest bringing more sizes like UK4 or UK10 in? It's a shame that a pretty outfit does not come in the size that a customer wants. Normal postage is complimentary but for all online purchases, I would still highly recommend everyone to opt for registered postage :)
Hi just wanted to tell everyone about our experience with Runway Bandits. We purchased a couple of items online in January 2013. The items never arrived, after many emails backwards and forwards with Runway Bandits requesting a credit or replacement items we were told they could not offer us any compensation and the only thing they would do was let us purchase some more items for half price.
There was no way I was going to give them any more of our money!
One of my favourite blogshops in SG, Runway Bandits has always been known for its preppy, contemporary clothing and has its own distinctive style. While not exclusive, the styling is refreshing and makes for good lookbook ideas. Runway Bandits has also its own office located in the East that is open to self-collection, so that’s convenient for those who don’t wish to wait for parcels to be delivered.
The bad part about the site is that it does take awhile to load — but I’m not sure if that’s just the Internet connection or my laptop.
Quite possibly one of my favourite online blogshops of all time. Their models and apparels exude this really edgy look that I personally love. Unlike many other blogshops, where their clothes get a little repetitive after sometime, RWB presents a wide variety, and yet hold on to classic edgy presentation of their looks.
Their prices are rather reasonable - the expensive ones can get up to $40, and the really affordable ones range from $10 onwards (sales!). I have purchased a few times from them and their customer service is all about efficiency. Makes my online shopping even more hassle free!
