Completed in 1997, this masjid replaced the old mosque of the same name, which had served residents since 1975. Located near Choa Chu Kang, the masjid has an approximate capacity of 3300, which is several times more than what the previous masjid was able to accommodate.
It is noted for its senior citizens group called Sohibul Khair, which organizes activities such as morning exercises and talks on living a healthy old-age.

Masjid Al-Khair is a big mosque by virtue of its large prayer hall. It is also well equipped with its many classrooms and special rooms. While it is a big mosque, it is not a big as Al-Iman which is not too far away in Bt Panjang. Another thing about it is that I feel that despite the size of Al-Khair, the design of the mosque is rather pleasing unlike the vulgar monstrosity that is Al-Iman (building design-wise that is).
I never had the chance to perform Friday prayers here, but from what I heard from friends, Al-Khair is very packed on Fridays with worshippers. Therefore, do come earlier to be able to get the best spots in the main hall.
