Located a mere two-minute walk from busy Orchard Road, the masjid is unique for it being housed in a commercial building.
While it has little architecture to speak of, it is an important landmark in the bustling Orchard Road area and serves the needs of workers in the nearby offices and departmental stores.
Built in 1987, it can accommodate up to 1500 people. Its forte is in its strong youth movement and family development unit. The masjid organizes youth camps and expeditions to nearby countries.

A great convenience
Having a mosque in the heart of Orchard is a very good idea. I think that many Muslim workers in Orchard would agree. That excludes hotel guests, tourists and shoppers.
The mosque itself really doesn't have features that most would typically associate with mosques. There are no minarets or domes to speak of. But the interior would immediately be familiar. The main prayer hall is pretty spacious and there is another floor above the main hall, albeit being much smaller.
Sermons her on Fridays may be delivered in English taking into consideration the potentially more cosmopolitan crowd. There are also classes and lectures conducted in English. Do check with their admin office.
