High quality service always maintained.

I have stayed in Mandarin Orchard for a few times ( before and after the relocation).

Before the relocation, it was located along Orchard Road, facing Paragon shopping mall. The first time My family and I entered the hotel lobby, the cosy ambience and friendly staffs welcomed our arrival. I still remember the check in didn't go quite smoothly as there was no reservation made, so I can say, we were the walk-in guests. The receptionists did as much as she could to check the available room for us and unfortunately, all standard rooms have been fully booked. So, she offered us a the deluxe suite and the room rate was pretty costly. We had no choice but to get the room. I understood that it was also our fault of not making advance booking.

As we entered the room, I was so mesmerized by the decor and it's interior. It is very classic and modern and the living room was spacious. I could say it was worth the money that we paid for.

Room service is great, complimentary Evian Spring water was presented to us. We had our personal butler to assist us in everything that we need.

My dad requested for wake up call in the morning at 7 am and they called us on time. Free newspaper and buffet breakfast coupons were given to us. It was a great experience back then.

When the hotel relocated to the new site, facing Takashimaya shopping center, I also stayed there for 2 nights with my colleagues to celebrate special occasion. The hotel interior is not as great as the former one and the lobby is really small.

As it was one of my colleagues birthday and this time, we made advance booking for standard rooms and the check-in procedure was a breeze. As the staff was aware that it was her birthday, they presented her a complimentary birthday cake. It was definitely a pleasant surprise for all of us as we did not expect the staff to be so observant.

Although the new relocated hotel interior is not as nice as the former one, my overall experience of staying in this hotel was perfect. The high standard of service quality is always maintained and that's what matters the most in a hotel.

I would recommend this hotel for those whose budget ranges from $200-$300 per night. It is a 5 star hotel, good quality doesn't really come with a cheap price.
