Smooth, delicious beancurd
I just started attending a new school and when I was browsing the canteen to see what food they sell, I came across the fruit stall in my school selling UU beancurd. Being a huge fan of beancurd (Tau Huay), I purchased one container at just $1.30.
I'd wanted to try the almond-flavoured beancurd but it was sold out due to popularity - so I settled for the original flavour, which I like just as much. When I first opened the container, I noticed that UU beancurd seemed less solidified than other commercial beancurds such as Lao Ban beancurd and I initially wondered if the beancurd had even set properly like it was supposed to. However, once I dug my spoon into the beancurd, I realised the consistency was more or less the same as that of other commercial beancurds.
However, the UU beancurd was exceptionally smooth and soft. I enjoy slurping my beancurd and the smoothness of the UU beancurd made it easier to do so. I really liked the texture! As for the flavour, it was excellent as well, successfully satisfying my beancurd craving.
I think UU beancurd is great but many people haven't heard of it yet - I think everyone should give it a try.
