Smooth grass jelly
Zen Q is located at the basement of Yew Tee Point, and I had contemplated many times whether I wanted to get a bowl of grass jelly for close to $4.00. Many times, I thought about it, and many times I told myself it was not really worth it. Until one fine day, I decided that what the heck, just try it once. I did not regret it.
The bowl of grass jelly is not small, and there are a few variants of toppings that you can order. I ordered the one which came with every topping available, taro balls, potato balls, red beans etc. Instead of serving with honey, I was given a small vial of creamer to add to it. I added a little and I don’t think it fitted my taste. But the taste of the jelly was really good. Maybe as they advertised, it was handmade so the texture was much smoother than grass jelly drinks, and it had a stronger herbal taste as well. The toppings were chewy and tasty as well. With so much items together, every spoonful was literally a big mouthful of items to eat.
For a $4 bowl, I would say that it was really substantial and could likely feel your stomach. It is probably not a good choice to eat after a full meal, but would be a nice snack in between.
