Good snack place

I'm actually more the lover of soya pudding than (like Lao Ban/ 51) the traditional beancurd but I find myself missing it every once in awhile and when I do, I'll head to Rochor Beancurd House.

I'll always order my favorite you tiao, a hot soyamilk and tofu fries from them! My best eating rendition would be to dunk the you tiao into the warm soyamilk before popping them into my mouth. Such old-style eating!

Their tofu fries are one of my best-loves as well. Generous portions of it will be served along with their chilli-pepper seasoning. The queues go pretty fast so its no issue if you do take-aways but try to avoid the peak hours if you're eating in. They have limited tables!

Beancurd that slides down your throat!

This place must be synonymous with those night goers. For this place opens until very late at night and it's great for supper. Selling silky smooth beancurd with not too sweet syrup, soya bean drinks and a variety of fried and steam items to go along with your drink or beancurd, this place, though with the lack of aircon, is popular amongst many.

I've tried their beancurd a couple of times and I must say it's smoother than the ones outside. We always see a queue which must mean something, doesn't it? Their fried stuff and egg tarts look soo good in the heaters too, looking freshly fried, fragrant and crispy.

They also recently came up with a variety of new flavors and type of beancurds to adapt to customer tastes and preferences which I feel is a good move to draw more customers to their shop. People can get to try and feel more inclined to try the different flavors.

So far I've been to the outlets at Thomson and the one at Rochor near PoMo.
