Crispy on the outside, tender in the inside
Goreng Pisang, meaning Deep Fried Bananas are a local favourite among all ages. Made from the sweet Pisang Raja, this stall serves one of the nicest and sweetest Greng Pisang of all time. An indication of how serious this stall is in the Banana business is the number of Pisang Raja that they have hanging in the stall.
Their batter is thin and does not soak up too much oil, which is a plus point as it turns me off whenever the batter is very thick and oily. The crispy crust serves as a contrast to the sweet tender banana inside which is rich and creamy.
This stall does not open everyday, their business is very dependant on the supply of Pisang Raja. For those who managed to taste their delicious Goreng Pisang, do try out their Goreng Champedak, or Deep Fried Jackfruit, which is also very good.
