My all time favourite dessert place

It looks like a stand alone stall from the first look. This stall has been around for 20 years and counting. I remember I used to eat desserts with my classmates at this place. At that time 928 Laksa was located together with the dessert stall and the spring roll stall. But due to problems between the 2 parties, the laksa stall decided to move next door to setup its own business of laksa and dessert, but was unsuccessful in the dessert side. The dessert stall also tried to have its own laksa but was unsuccessful. The bad blood still lasts today, with notices at the dessert stall showing no food from next door. But I can tell you when it is crowded, people just sit wherever there is space.

The dessert stall offers a variety of local desserts from the usual hot desserts such as red bean soup, bean curd skin barley soup, bo bo cha cha, to cold desserts such as ice kacang and sea coconut.

Every time I visit the stall, I would order the Ice Jelly without fail. It was just Aiyu jelly, topped with shaved ice, mixed fruits, syrup, a piece of lime. But I would ask the uncle to add milk to the dessert which will give it a milky taste. Light and refreshing on a hot day especially, Best of all it is cheap too.

Nice Dessert Corner

This desserts stall is loved by my family and friends. My mother loves their green bean soup and I really love their Aloe Vera with Sea Coconut. Usually we will have desserts there after we had laksa there. But I don’t really like this environment, as there’s no fan, so it’s very stuffy if you sit in the shop.

There’s a Popiah stall at the corner behind this stall and 928 Laksa is just beside Lit Lit Xin Cold & Hot Dessert. There’s also an another dessert shop beside 928 Laksa, but most people will prefers Lit Lit Xin Cold & Hot Dessert as there’s always long queue here whereas the dessert shop next to 928 Laksa is usually quiet, but with the help of the popularity of 928, that dessert shop is still ‘surviving’.
