Interesting fusion food!

On weekday afternoons between 11am-2pm, Sync offers set lunches that go for $9.90 that comes with a main course and a drink. For an additional charge of $2, one can add sides such as Kimchi cheese fries, sweet and sticky fried chicken bites, and even the dessert of the day.

The last time I went, I ordered the pork belly rice bowl which tasted average. The pork tasted a tad bland alone. What really tied the dish together was the hot pepper paste on top of the pork slices. Should you desire to have more sauce with your dish, there is a bottle provided on every table! Woohooooo! While the chicken bites were coated in a lip-smacking sauce sweet-ish, there was more batter than chicken.

The dessert of the day was sour-cream banana cake which was, to me, the best part of the meal. The moist banana cake was warm and soft, topped with cream and caramelised bananas. Despite its name, there was not a tinge of sourness. Unfortunately, I was unable to find it on the main menu…Perhaps they do not sell it as a standard item. A pity indeed, for it was one of the best banana cakes I’ve ever tasted.
