A Korean bar / diner type specalising in Korean Fried Chicken. The owner used to rummage through the dustbins of popular chicken chains in Korea to find out what ingredients they used. Her own recipe today imports all its ingredients from Korea.

I will exercise more just to eat these Korean fried chicken
Having had chicken & beer multiple times in Seoul, and knowing how fabulous they are, I was psyched to try these KFC (Korean fried chicken) in Singapore after reading rave reviews.
Located within walking distance from Tanjong Pagar MRT station, Kko Kko Nara wasn't difficult to spot. We wanted to try their Hot & Spicy fried chicken but weren't able to because they already ran out at 630pm. Well, there's always next time!
We settled for Sweet & Spicy instead and were amazed how good they were - crisp, non-greasy and slapped with their secret sauce so good I could eat it with plain rice. My boyfriend and I were quiet throughout our KFC reverie, not because we fought but because we were too focused on eating.
To have me using my fingers while eating outside of the home is as rare as getting me to eat garlic, which is close to almost never? Will definitely head back for more when we're freer. Eat while they're still piping hot and crispy! Best advice ever.
Note that these KFC takes quite a while to be served but they're so worth it. Leaps better than your fried chicken from Popeyes and Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Oh, they serve traditional Korean fare like Bibimbap and Kimchi Jiggae too but these are pricey! Didn't try them so I can't tell you if they're any good.
best fried chicken
This quaint-looking Korean restaurant serves authentic Korean cuisine, along with up to 6-8 side dishes. I love the way the whole place feels, so comfortable and homely. The barrier between each table is pretty high, giving you and your friends/family/lover enough privacy and space, making the experience a very cozy one.
Apart from the decoration, the food is extremely yummy as well. My favourite thing to order would be the kimchi jiggae(soup) and the original fried chicken. This is the best combination in the world! I always choose the spam or tuna for my kimchi soup as it tastes better with either of the two selections.
However, one thing I don't like about the place is that if you go during dinner time or weekends, it is usually packed and you have to wait quite long for your turn at the table.
A quick Korean-food Craving Fix!
My go-to place when I need a quick Korean food craving fix. Ramen! Kimchi! Bibimbap! They even have my favourite rice juice drink, granted the price is marked up quite a lot (you can buy them at Korean grocery stores at a much cheaper price).
While it is a very famed Korean restaurant, I personally only like the Ramen and the friend chicken, which is really worth the trip down. Their pancakes are a little too salty, even for Korean food standard (at least for the times I tried). And the decor of the place while cozy, could do with a little upgrading.
The service, though, is something I think all eateries here should adopt. Just press the button and a waiter will be with you shortly. No one pretending not to hear or see you. That definitely deserves a thumbs up.
Drivers, please remember to put parking coupons or be prepared to pay the $30.00 extra on top of your meal receipt.
My favourite Korean fried chicken in Singapore
If you like good authentic flavour this is probably where you want to go. Unlike places like Bon Chon which I feel is one of the greatest localised tragedies(they used to be so good!), they stay true to Korea's original taste.
Even though its in a bar, their prices are extremely value for money compared to places like Chicken Up and BBQ Chicken which mark up their prices. You could probably get 50% more chicken at the same price here.
I've only tried the spicy chicken so far and it was fantastic. Really spicy although there was some strange Korean herb in it, it will still delicious and original. It was nice that the meal came with water, radish and bucket to put your chicken bones in. Will definitely be back for more if I am in the area.
