Average but good price
I just dropped by this buffet restaurant a couple of hours ago for my dinner. Looking at it, this seem to be the only Korean BBQ Buffet in the west side, so I thought it would be worth a try, so that I do not have to go all the way to central area for Korean BBQ.
The place is generally made up of an outdoor and indoor area. There are enough tables for around 50 pax on the outside and 30 pax on the inside. The tables are placed two together with four seats each. Well, I do not really think it is a good idea, as the food from the other table tends to overflow. We were shown an empty table on the inside, but the dishes from the other table had already overflown and it turned me off enough to change my seating to the outside instead.
There were about 10 types of meat dishes ranging from pork to beef to chicken. Chicken thigh leg was in two flavours, soy sauce marinated and black pepper. There were fresh and marinated pork belly, and think pork slices, and similarly for beef. There were some marinated squid, fresh prawns and squid, 8 to 10 different side dishes and finger food, kimchi soup, seaweed soup. In terms of food quality, I would say that the meat was fresh and the owner wasted no cost to use chicken thigh for the chicken options.
The service was actually pretty active. As the hot plate was wrapped with aluminium foil which blackens during the cooking, the staff was on the constant look out for the blackening and they would change the foil actively. They also realise that my gas was empty before I sensed anything. I think the bosses are a korean husband and wife team and the rest were filipino staff.
In conclusion, the food is not especially wonderful but it is acceptable and important the service is not bad and attentive. In terms of pricing, it is reasonable as well.
