Ssikkek Korea BBQ Hot
Ssikkek offers quite a wide range of 5 kinds of beef, 3 kinds of pork, chicken, sausage and prawns plus other typical Banchan (Korean side dishes). There's also soup available in three types: Miso, Seaweed and Kimchi. It's a sub-branch of 2D1N Soju Bang!
Those looking for an incredibly affordable Korean barbecue buffet treat should head down to Ssikkek Korean Grill BBQ. Buffet dinner offered is only $20+ but the restaurant offers a huge repertoire of marinated meats and side dishes.

Budget BBQ that will please
Ssikkek is a korean BBQ buffet for the budget conscious. Ssikkek serves a humble selection of meats during lunchtime, and the range expands only during dinner, which is more expensive. The lunch buffet comes under $20 per pax including gst, making it one of the most affordable lunch buffets around.
Even though there’s not much to choose from in the lunch buffet, they do have all the good stuff. The best item is their pork belly. It comes in thin strips that is easy to cook, although you must cut it up to make it more manageable to eat. Slather it in their house korean sauce and wrap in fresh lettuce. It's a delicious combination.
Soft drinks come with the buffet as well. The Korean Tea, which is less sweet, is great for washing down the oily aftermath of your bbq.
A budget meat galore for the caveman in you
I love cheap things and I cannot lie. It is no secret that Ssikkek is the cheapest Korean BBQ in town, and it’s precisely that that makes it my go-to spot for free-flow bacon.
The food and ingredient choices aren’t that extensive, but it’s supposed to be all about the meat anyway. Considering that Ssikkek is really just a place for you to get your fill of pork, chicken and beef, I’d say it’ll only be worth it if you have lunch here on Weekdays, which sets you back by only $14++. I usually stretch my dollar as far as possible by piling on plates and plates of bacon - no matter what haters say (just bacon?!), it IS worth it.
Like any Korean BBQ place, you will walk out smelling like barbecue. Reconsider having your dates here - or just arm yourself with some Febreze!
Best Korean BBQ!
This is one of the most value-for-money Korean BBQ restaurants in Singapore, especially on weekday lunch. For $14++, the amount of food you can enjoy pork belly, bacon, beef rib eye, squid, prawns and some other meats which is an unbelievable steal! This is the place to get your protein fix without burning a hole in your pocket.
They also offer a number of side dishes including rice cakes, noodles, rice, sweet potato, pancake, seaweed soup, golden mushroom and fruits. Each customer has one free bottle of mineral water and all other drinks will be charged accordingly.
Despite its booming popularity, the food, service and quality remains topnotch and if you're thinking of popping by, be prepared to queue for at least 15 minutes!
Value for money
Even though there are so many Korean barbeque shops in Singapore now, I feel that Ssikkek Korea BBQ has one of the best deals out there. It is cheaper than most shops, yet the shop doesn't compromise on the quality and quantity of the food, which is why customers keep coming back for more.
I love the huge variety of food over at Ssikkek! Other than a huge range of meat including chicken, beef and pork, Ssikek offers a lot of different dishes too, such as spicy rice cakes, glass noodles, salads, fruits and desserts. The service over here is absolutely fantastic too. If you don't know how to cook the food, the staff will do it for you. All the staff members are extremely attentive and attend to you promptly whenever you need help.
I like how the staff changes the grill pans frequently while we eat, so that we don't have to cook our food on charred grills. All in all, the food, service and quality of Ssikkek is worth every single cent, and I'm definitely going to frequent this place.
Awesome BBQ Buffet
My friends and I visited the outlet at Bras Basah Complex on a Thursday afternoon, around 1pm, for the lunch buffet. I've never been crazy about BBQ restaraunts in general but Ssikkek is one that I have come to love.
All the grills are pre-oiled so all we needed to do was to switch on the heat. I must say, I was amazed at the wide variety of food available. Ranging from the standard stuff like corn, enoki mushroom and lettuce to spicy rice cakes, glass noodles and kimchi pancakes! They, of course, also provide chicken, beef and pork for us to barbeque. All were sweet, tender and juicy. Drinks available for the buffet included free flow ice lemon tea, barley tea, and lime juice. I loved how they were really refreshing and a great complement to the food.
The place can be considered a paradise for kpop lovers as well. The windows are plastered with posters of kpop groups and wall-mounted LCD screens continuously showed kpop music channels, which were very entertaining for my friends and I.
Considering that we ate A LOT of meat as well as several side dishes, the $16.50 that we paid per head was quite worth it. Before we left, the ajusshi at the counter sprayed deodorant on our clothes to cover the smoky smell of bbq that stuck on us during the buffet, which I thought was a thoughtful gesture. Looking forward to the next time I go back to Ssikkek :)
My family and friends like to celebrate small occasions like wedding anniversaries and youth day. We often complain about the expensive buffets while deciding on which buffet to go for. Buffet nowadays are expensive and have little variety of food for us to choose from. It is always just the simple sushi, desserts, some meat and free drinks.
But we found our jackpot when Ssikkek korea bbq opened up at Tampines 1. It is very convenient for us to travel to and it has a wide variety of marinated meats. Just the right thing for my dad and friends. They have a wider variety of foods for us to choose from. From side dishes to salads to soups to sauces to meats to rice and noodles. Not leaving out that they always keep their food and fruits fresh there. Their services are good and they also provided us a bottle of free mineral water.
I strongly recommend youths to give ssikkek korea bbq a try with their friends as it is really affordable with good food as compared to majority of the buffets.
Best value korean bbq~
Absolutely love this place! I've been here about 5 times because not only is it value for money, the staff are friends and it's a smokeless bbq restaurant! It's a sub-branch of 2D1N Soju Bang but the difference is it is smokeless and less crowded. The only bad point is that their food variety is not as much as it's main branch.
The most memorable experience i had was when we celebrated one of our friend's birthday there. One of them had prepared a video for the birthday boy. The staff were kind enough to lend their tv screen which they normally play Korean MVs for 5 minutes to play the video. Just before leaving, the guy at the cashier sprayed us with a deodorant to get rid of the BBQ smell.
Pile up the meat!
Teenagers love this place! Been here a few times and each time the queue is like forever. Thankfully, we have the tendency to reserve a table and is always on time, else the waitress will let the others have your table should you be 15min late. Though there is air-conditioned indoors seating, for this BBQ, I prefer to have the outdoor seats as it can get really quite stuffy indoors. Their air con is like not on full blast and anyhow, indoors or outdoors, you still walk away smelling BBQ-ed.
The BBQ spread is nothing to complain about and I'm definitely not complaining. The meat, yes ! The meat are very well marinated and sliced and cut to the perfect thickness for BBQ. The rest of the food are quite the BBQ spread standard, little hotdogs, meatballs etc. but we ain't overly bothered. All we care about are the steaks and chops! BBQ Fire's burning but Ssikkek won't burn a hole in your pocket, worry not:)
meat in heat
I've been to Ssikkek at Novena Ville and at Bras Basah Complex - I prefer the one at BBC because the Novena one is really crowded on weekends especially. This inefficiency was my only problem, apart from the smelly hair and clothes which comes with every barbeque. There was a queue to get in which wound all the way around the extra tables and spilled onto the pavement, plus another queue inside at the food tables.
My Ssikkek experience at BBC though, was really enjoyable because the place was only half-full and there was pretty much no waiting at all. Plus, I love Ssikkek because of their huge range of meat, and options of fruit, veg and soup as well. I love all of these things, and it being a buffet means I can gorge myself on as much food as I want without feeling guilty about spending tons!
Well, there is the guilt of growing fat and unfit, but that's just a minor detail when there's all this good food around. If you're craving for Korean barbeque with loads of meat, Ssikkek's a good option! My personal favourite is the beef. I'd recommend the other outlets though.
one of the best Korean BBQ!
One of my favorite recent buffet outings I had with my army friends is the ssikkek Korea BBQ buffet. It was the last dinner with my army superior, and it was one of the most awesome Korean bbq buffets I have had! As usual, there were throngs of people queuing at the restaurant during dinner time, and we were lucky that we had reservations right in front of the huge HD TV showing the latest Kpop music videos of the popular Korean groups.
The dinner ambience is very good when you consider the number of people there is at the restaurant. We were able to have hearty conversations while each of us took turns to cook the meat. Of course, which Korean bbq would be complete without the meat? There are all types of meat: beef, chicken, pork, and sliced into different variations. We were able to proceed with cooking the meat without much problem!
Also, the cooked food in the restaurant is varied and quite tasty too, like chicken wings and octopus balls. There are 3 different types of soup for people to feast on too. With the entertainment provided by the huge TV, it was really quite an experience.
The milky lime ice cream is one of the best after meal treats I have eaten! Sold at a price of a dollar, it is cheaper than other shops, and customers should definitely try it after the meal. There were customers that even bought a whole box of that ice cream home!
One small criticism I would have is that while cooking the meat, the oil would sometimes splutter out of the cooking pan due to all the oil accumulated. My advice would be to cook slowly and drain the oil periodically, and enjoy the whole process!
